@svershbow we had a dog growing up who insisted on carrying one of my dad's yard work gloves with him on every walk but this is next level of that lol. Perfection.

Today, I met a dog who carries around an emotional support seashell. Apparently he has a box of them at home.

@kenzianidiot refer to yourself as 'we' when service professionals come to the house so they think you have a male partner who is not home. I've done it both ways and gotten consistently better service and paying attention to me when I use we.

@jessenewell it was perfectly clear to me. I love the show and have been waiting for you to pop up, and the energy and banter was great between you and Robert. So many people just looking for excuses to confirm the takes they've been stewing over.

It was my own analogy, not the Chiefs'. The fact is, if you look at their underlying numbers (point differential, EPA/play, etc.), they probably should've won 11 games in 2024 and 11 games in 2025. They went 15-2 and 6-11 instead. Both Chiefs teams were outliers. If Chiefs went 11-6 then 11-6, we're talking about offensive tweaks this offseason and not wholesale changes. 6-11 probably creates more panic than is warranted for an offense that, when it had its two OTs through 12 games, was 2nd-best in EPA/play. But for all of my own opinion on that, I wrote an article today about an offensive identity shift you're likely to see with the Chiefs in 2025 (below). They hired Eric Bieniemy, so they obviously believe the standard in the building had slipped recently. I'm confident that if Andy Reid left the Chiefs tomorrow, 20 NFL teams would want to hire him to run his offense. And to have Andy Reid change to run McVay/Shanahan offenses would defeat the purpose of having ANDY REID as your coach. He's the mastermind behind his offensive system and can answer all questions for any scenario. There's definite power in having that from a HOF coach. So the Chiefs aren't wholesale changing. They probably shouldn't. Yes, they should be concerned about last year, and yes, they're making real changes because of those results. But also very possible they won't go 1-10 in one-score games next year and "improve" just with some better Blackjack luck as well. That's what I was trying to convey from my own thoughts, but obviously didn't do very effectively. t.co/6P8Gduy4dN

If the Chiefs view last year as a good process with a bad luck result, that's really a bummer. (it's a terrific analogy from @jessenewell, who does great work and is just doing his job here! I would just very strongly argue that there was a LOT of the process to criticize)
DMac Wake@DMacWake316

Both @jessenewell and @robertmays discussing on @TA_FootballShow Andy Reid will double down on his scheme (no surprise after the EB hire) with few changes to the Chiefs offensive scheme. Disappointing after every thing that was put on Mahomes shoulders to drag them to being competent, but this means a repeat of the failures in Kansas City should cost Reid his job.

He is 16, can't see, can't hear - needs some support, as you can see. His name is Lucky. Six months older than my son - and because every dog needs a boy and every boy needs a dog. He has been the faithful companion. Loves his walks, his food, and his family. Say hi

@ChiefsfanCHI23 Unfortunately insurance denies treatment all the time, especially if the treatment your physician recommends is not the one in their policies for your diagnosis (this is way more common than you think). And if you have aggressive cancer you're likely trying experimental treatment

I have a problem with this. There’s absolutely no reason not to have health insurance (I’m assuming that’s why they need money.) You get insurance for what might happen, not for what is. “I’m young and healthy isn’t an excuse.”

I was TikTok influenced to buy one of those cheap digital cameras that takes photos like a disposable camera from the nineties and I love it ~so~ much. These were taken at my friend's wedding yesterday.

@svershbow @tyjjjjones ohhhh! I have been so tempted by their video camera after seeing Taylor Swift with it at a Chiefs game. Good to hear the positive review this may have me jumping in on both video and point and shoot.

@xLauren_Mx always wanted him back. His vibes and energy did a 180 once the EB coming back as OC rumors started so this doesn't surprise me. Have tried for 2 years to find receivers to take a load off him hopefully they finally figure that out so he doesn't have to carry it once again.

@warnermichelle Oh nice! They don't have 2024 updated on Wikipedia so I was actually thinking Mahomes had won the last two. Seemed like a bit much.

@lexiosborne hahaha extremely unfortunate choice but I live an hour north on the lake so know they're talking about a specific type of brick that was manufactured there. But alas this does not excuse it being used across a uniform in 2025 🤪 emke.uwm.edu/entry/cream-ci…

Thank you all for your concern BUT I have thoroughly researched Librela, and we made an informed decision to move forward with a shot once a month over a year ago. The alternative would be that Sam stopped being able to move or walk. He does great with the shot. In a few days he will regain use of his hind end and running around happy. I am not recommending or suggesting it for anyone else. However, Sam does well on it and gives him a better quality of life and ultimately has extended his life. He has had PT, Laser, and many more types of interventions. He is a 13 year old Golden and we have managed to find something that works well for us and him.
Sampson the Service Dog@sampson_dog

Mom here: Sam has been having a little trouble with his back legs. Nothing new, just more dramatic lately. His back legs gave out trying to go up a flight of stairs - which is new. So we sat on the floor together and shared blueberries. Calling the vet to get him in for his Ketamine and Librela shot which always seem to help. Growing old is part of life, we will care for him just as he cared for me for so many years. Video: Sam lying on a tile floor being fed blueberries.
