@nyaraVT Genuinely fuck you, putrid garbage excuse for a human being. You know exactly what you're doing with these malicious lies. You're no better than MAGA. Trans people everywhere should see you as their enemy.

People want to vote for candidates that offer actual solutions and are an alternative to the far right.. not compromises.. not fake opposition, which the Democrats are But Liberals aren’t ready to hear that yet
Hutch@hutchinson

As I understand things, the online left believes that the DNC autopsy would reveal that Gaza was the reason Kamala lost. They seem to *want* this to be true. That is odd to me because I’m not sure why any rational person with a moral center would want credit for Trump winning.

@Person012345 @isaCatholicGuy @ZE_DENZEL Everyone on earth including babies/toddlers are forced to press a button, which means millions of small children will have pressed blue because they just pressed something at random. Just because of that alone, it's almost guaranteed that the majority will press blue to save them

The blue red button thing is just another "man or bear" question isn't it? One side knows what the correct answer should be and the other side ether can't do risk assessment or is too busy virtue signaling themselves into a grave

@NoPoliSolutions @warpio_2 @WhickTv The crusher was already there. The blues chose to walk under it. If they had pushed red, they would not be in harm's way. Pushing blue is risking suicide.

@bakaman_vtuber @tescrealwagmi @WhickTv I thought this way too at first, but then realized the hypothetical includes small children/toddlers who don't have the capacity to fully understand what they're doing being forced to vote. This changes things a LOT. Practically everyone who's ever been a parent will vote blue.

But reds didn't consent to doing anything. The post stated that everyone HAD to vote, the people that voted blue did so of their own volition the same way the people that voted red did. Reds didn't cheer for blues to die, reds aren't saying we "lost" because we didn't get the majority votes. We just decided that is wasn't reasonable to vote blue and moved on.

@TheOmniLiberal The correct answer to this question is different depending on if: - Only adults who fully understand what they're doing have to press a button (I'm betting red wins in this scenario) - EVERYONE including children/toddlers have to press a button (blue definitely wins here)

@ultimatecub0 @NoPoliSolutions @WhickTv That's nuts, I didn't think of that. My near-100% red prediction was assuming everybody that presses the button has a full understanding of what they're doing. If you factor in children who don't know what they're doing also having to vote, blue makes way more sense.

@NoPoliSolutions @WhickTv Well yeah I think in a real life scenario, the vast VAST majority would think of the blue button as the suicide button and we'd all collectively press red and there'd be almost no deaths besides the intentional suicides. Again if I turn out to be wrong, fuck me I guess.

@warpio_2 @WhickTv Reds always want to frame the blue button as suicide, because they don't want to take responsibility. But the blue button only results in death when enough reds vote to kill them. It would be more honest to just admit you only care about survival, and not pretend it is moral.

@NoPoliSolutions @WhickTv But this isn't so much voting on something as it is doing a direct action that either might kill you or definitely doesn't kill you. The blue button is like touching a live wire except there might be enough other people touching it that it'll be grounded.

@warpio_2 @WhickTv It's literally impossible for 100% of people to vote on anything. There will always be blues. And therefore the only option which saves every life on earth is blue. Red will always result in deaths. And therefore blue is the only moral solution to the problem.

@NoPoliSolutions @WhickTv It's not a Thanos situation, everyone has the ability to press red, so why wouldn't the result just be that everybody presses red and nobody dies?

@warpio_2 @WhickTv If the stakes were real, it would become incredibly salient to reds that they were literally voting to murder their own family and friends and loved one. Blue would win in a landslide.

@RozzelcopterTV @notsoErudite @IamSean90 That's just an opinion poll with no actual stakes. People would vote differently if it were a real thing. I think it is far more likely that red would be the overwhelming majority than it is for blue to get anywhere near 50%. That's a LOT of people that would need to act selfless

@warpio_2 @notsoErudite @IamSean90 Then that's an entirely different scenario. I'd think about that one differently. But that's the point, the threshold to save everyone for red is 100%. For blue, it's just 51%. But this poll just proved that OVER 50% of people voted blue.

@RozzelcopterTV @notsoErudite @IamSean90 Does the threshold of blue votes needed even factor into your equation at all? Because part of this is I just don't think it's realistic that ANYWHERE near 50% of people ever vote blue, like at all. What if the threshold for blue votes needed to save everyone was 80%? 99%?

It does, but your scenario doesn't play out the way you think. I'll run it by you a couple different ways... Blue voters drink poison that only activated if less than half of the people drink it, red drinks water. But if people who drink the poison know drinking it has the possibility of saving everyone, that's a rational choice. I can easily turn it around and say if everyone drinks the poison then everyone survives. It's the same thing. Here's a different scenario that's basically the same as yours but reversed.... Blue voters drink water, but red voters drink a poison that causes them to go insane until they kill every blue if more than 50% of them drink it. Why would you drink that poison? Seems kind of stupid, no? Just drink the water then!

@ShitlibSupreme I see no reason to believe why anywhere near 40% would press blue. Realistically it'd be close to 100% unanimous on the red button. Maybe some super religious people would see the blue button as a test of faith or something, but even then I doubt it'd be such large numbers.

Let's say it's a 60 red 40 blue split. Billions just disappeared which would destroy global trade, infrastructure, governments, and power grids. You would be stuck in a post apocalyptic world with the least social and trustworthy people.

What the red button pushers obviously aren't taking into account is that in order to maintain a functional world without societal collapse they would need a lot more than just a slight majority of people to also press red. Probably upwards of about 85% of people pressing red.

@RozzelcopterTV @notsoErudite @IamSean90 The scenario I proposed is the exact same thing, just replaces pressing a button with drinking something. Everybody lives if they just drink the water instead instead of the poison. So why wouldn't they apply that same logic to pressing the red button instead of blue?

No, you're changing the scenario to try and justify your vote. Because that's EXACTLY what it is, a vote! People are voting blue or red. Not drinking poison water. It's a vote. And since it's a vote, you need to look at the rewards for the winner. If blue wins, everyone survives, if red wins then every blue dies.

@ShitlibSupreme Okay what if you replace the blue and red buttons with being forced to drink either a "poison that kills you if less than 50% of the world drinks it" bottle or a bottle of water. The sensible choice there is to just drink the water. Why can't the red button be seen that way?

Blue keeps consistently winning even on this hell site which has a disproportionately high % of the amoral chud population, yet red button pushes keep crashing out insisting that they're the "logical™" ones.
MrBeast@MrBeast

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.
