@NornQueenKya In the dark ages before warhammer was redirected to 13+ audience it would be true that lore was first and minis second. Now one drives the other. Said that I'm leaving this universe I have found out where the old vets from GW went and I'm going to play their miniature game :P

@NornQueenKya He is correct about 40k v0.1; however, once they started down the lead minis path, the only way was more volume, more volume... so anything from 40k v1.0 Catalog1 onwards was about more minis...

@Andyluviano23 @NornQueenKya That’s their point, but it’s so absurdly wrong that it’s hilarious. The models come first, and have done for decades. The lore is *constantly* being rewritten as new models and factions come out. GW retconning their lore is such a common thing that it’s a meme by now.

@NornQueenKya I believe their point is that lore is the literal fuel for the sales. I don’t know anything about Warhammer but as an example. Star wars lore was shafted royally in the ST generation compared to the PT generation. And you can see that in the media/toy sales.

Raw milk has something pasteurized does not - we call it bacteria. Discovered years ago, and some cause illness, and some of those illnesses lead to hospitalizations and deaths. But people want you to take a chance on E coli. So they make up things like raw milk includes a magic ingredient that pasteurization (heating at 165 degrees for 12 seconds) removes. There is no such magic ingredient. Why do they want raw milk? Why are they using science to write non science and nonsense.

A man blows up himself and his ex-partner. At the end of the article phone numbers of help orgs for women. But the police themselves did nothing even though they had been contacted several times before the murder. RIP Jo Shaw🥀 theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/m…

If you're thinking about using gen-AI to "write" books, this 🧵 is for you. I’m a highly experienced editor who’s been in the biz a long time. Recently I’ve had manuscripts come to me where the author has used gen-AI – not for writing, I’ve been assured, but for

Funny how you paid your shareholders billions, racked up huge debt for water companies you took over debt free and now try to tell us, the consumers, who have no choice, that for our own good you have to fleece us to make up for decades of missed investment.
Water UK@WaterUK

Much of our pipework is ageing and needs renewing. Water companies are working to reduce water leaks by 1 billion litres by 2030. So, we can keep water flowing to where it’s needed, for generations to come.

@envidreamz @1goodtern A friend of mine got glandular fever for the first time about a month after COVID. She then had two rounds of catching COVID and then a few weeks later having a glandular fever relapse. The last I heard (2.5 years ago) she’d mostly stopped masking, even knowing the link. 😭

“Has anyone else been getting the flu constantly? 3x in 40 days” Reply is shocking: “Covid damages immune systems” and provides a research link!!! OP: “I get Covid yearly since 2022… maybe I should reexamine long term effects” Update: “It’s glandular fever/mono lol, explains why I’ve been sick since February! 😂” This person completely mentally erases the Covid conversation! Forgets the comment. Forgets their own “reexamine that” reply. Covid is notorious for reactivating Epstein Barr Virus (EBV AKA “Mono” or “Glandular Fever”). Studies show Covid patients have significantly higher EBV reactivation rates and it’s strongly linked to lingering fatigue & recurrent sickness. But nah… it’s never Covid. 🙂‍↔️ Covid deniers will blame literally anything except the virus that keeps breaking immune systems.
