The funny part is that not too far from now they are going to end up majorly increasing token prices for AI art in order to be somewhat profitable. they were pricing the tokens at a much lower rate then what it costs and eating the cost in order to spread and attract investors. Soon they wont even be able to afford the AI slop.

Depends on the person too, some people pick it up fast and others takes a lot more blood and hard work to get it. I apparently had talent for art and was able to basically do highly detailed hand drawn illustrations and in like 2 months and detailed wood in another 3 months of carving . I had to take the classes just for the credit. Thing is sure I had the talent in a sense but not the creativity or soul, nor did I love doing art. Be nice if people could trade talents for ones they actually like.

I don't like when people throw around "just pick up a pencil". Being an artist requires a ridiculous amount of sacrifice that most people dont seem to realize. I respect people that can strive to make that sacrifice, but not everyone can.

Imho it feels a bit entitled when people say stuff like that. Like are they implying that their content is more deserving of viewership since it's SFW? Or is it that they think NSFW vtubers are only popular because they do NSFW stuff and not because they also make really good content alongside that? Either way it says more about them than the NSFW vtuber.

The minimum wage should at the very least provide what you need for proper sustenance, some entertainment and a roof over your head, maybe not a very good roof but a roof. You now have minimum wage workers having to come together to rent out an apartment so they can still afford to eat or having to move in with parents. And before you call my some entitled kid, I server my country and retired . Many of my younger brothers in arms joined just to get out of poverty. You think they didn't work hard for what they had before? Grocery prices have skyrocketed compared to before covid and have completely exceeded inflation. Homes and basic living costs have been inflated by corporate greed and a government that has failed its people. My loyalty lays on my fellow Americans and our country, not its parasitic government officials. We as the older generation have failed the youth.

@OzoneReborn @MensHumor If the job needs any kind of degree then yea the work place owes them more then minimum wage even if its their first job in that industry. And then you have places that fire the Pro's to change them out for underpaid graduates. Loyalty does not even pay anymore.

Unfortunately other then indie and a hand full of studio games, most modern games now use generative AI to some degree. Anything to save a buck. I actually think its a good tool in certain scenarios. One example is ark raiders where they used it to train organic movement for the AI robot enemy's. They also used it for the voice actors but the actual voice actors got paid for every line that used their voice exactly as if they did it them self's and with permission that they were ok with their voice being used to say those things. But yea most other games don't use it as an ethical tool, just use it as a money saver.

fuck generative ai btw! i personally will never knowingly touch or stream games that use Gen A.I, and if i ever do accidentally stream a game with known Gen A.I usage, please let me know. support real artists, who put in real effort and hard work to get to where they are.

Dirty water makes micro organisms grow in the water pipes and they clog up constantly. Its why water cooled PC's use sterile water in the loops and not just tap water. Even the clean drinking water is filtered before it go's in to prevent that but those filters would also clog up if you use dirty water. ( I do hope all these AI centers burn to the ground btw)

I still can't wrap my head around why AI data centers need fresh water. Not recycled. Not wastewater. Fresh, drinkable water, burned through by the millions of gallons just to keep servers cool. Why are we using a basic human necessity to prop up machines?

we wont run out of water but they do need clean water in the datacenters since circulating all that water with all that heat in pipes will make microorganisms explode in population and constantly clog things up. Its why everyone uses sterile water in pc water cooling loops. The actual big issue is how much heat the AI data centers dump into the environment and that everyone in the district of a data center foots the bill on power costs even though they gain nothing from the AI data centers. They also flood the area with light during the night to prevent theft so say good by to the stars and make a ton of noise pollution. You would actually be better off living next to an airport.

um you do know we clean the water to make it drinkable yea? Also the water moves heat, does not just vanish. Im with you on hating data centers as they are a scourge on the face of this earth but yea we wont run out of drinking water. Now what is going to happan is that water and power bills are going to skyrocket ( and they already are) because the costs of making more clean water and powering the facility's is being moved on to the people in the district the AI super center belongs to. Poverty is going to reach new heights.
