The initiative aims to combat waterborne diseases and promote resilience through hygiene practices, access to safe water, effective sanitation and empowering vulnerable households across Wajir County.

Through the Strengthening Resilience and Recovery for Pastoral Communities (SRRP) project, supported by @USAIDSavesLives , @wasda_kenya , in partnership with the @WajirKE Department of Health, visited Wajeer FM to sensitize the community on improved health and hygiene promotion.

Today, we @KenyaAsal launched Gender Protection in Emergencies Training, uniting partners from 10 counties. In the opening remarks, AHN Convener @awater114 stressed the need for joint action to address rising gender and protection challenges caused by frequent emergencies. #GBV

@USAIDSavesLives We extend our gratitude to the @WajirKE Livestock Department for their collaborative efforts and to the reporters for their dedication to building more resilient pastoral communities and ensuring timely disease intervention and safeguarding the health of our livestock.

This program generously funded by @USAIDSavesLives aims to empower local reporters with the skills and knowledge to detect and report livestock diseases promptly, ultimately protecting livelihoods and strengthening resilience against livestock-related risks.

In partnership with the @WajirKE Livestock Department, @wasda_kenya successfully conducted a comprehensive training session for community livestock disease reporters from Eldas, Wajir North, and Wajir West sub-counties.

@USAID Wasda Kenya and the Wajir County are optimistic that the training will have a lasting impact on the pastoral economy by fostering early interventions and improving livestock disease management. Similar training will be held soon for Wajir West,Wajir North and Eldas subcounties.

In a significant step toward enhancing livestock health management in Wajir County, @wasda_kenya kenya, in collaboration with the @WajirKE Livestock Department, successfully concluded a two-day training for Community Livestock Disease Reporters.

The SRRP project is generously funded by @USAID, enabling @wasda_kenya the @WajirCounty Health Department to address urgent malnutrition concerns while contributing to broader community health goals.

Child protection and safeguarding are central to the program. @wasda_kenya Gender and Protection Officer is actively involved in ensuring that all services are delivered with the utmost care for the safety and dignity of beneficiaries.

@wasda_kenya, in collaboration with the @WajirCounty Department of Health, is conducting an extensive integrated health and nutrition outreach initiative within Wajir South Sub-County. This program focuses on the identification, screening, and treatment of malnourished children
