@metaviv Does this skirt the issue of the origin/provenance of the information that is being detected/generated? Is it not only mitigating side effects of a bigger problem of low standards around provenance and identification on the web and walled gardens.

I was part of the red team for GPT-4 — tasked with getting GPT-4 to do harmful things so that OpenAI could fix it before release. I've been advocating for red teaming for years & it's incredibly important. But I'm also increasingly concerned that it is far from sufficient. 🧵⤵️

Some evidence: drinking #water access estimated from UN @JMPWASH household data sources and from @WaterPointData water point inventories correlate. The 1st is people's use of water points, the second is the density of people around water points. Why? osf.io/kjry2/
