Got in trouble again for telling a patient with cancer to cut down on sugars, carbs, junk food, eat healthy, organic food. I was told I'm a nurse not a nutritionist or dietician. Ok Felicia but in my nursing program I took more the 4 days of nutrition classes then medical students take. That alone makes me more qualified then a doctors nutrition advice

@MotivacionesF Interesting that he said nothing about that atrocious penalty box foul on pogba by Daniel Alves prior to the second barca goal?

Juventus see Calafiori as a potential starter in the left centre-back role, a position they’ve been looking to fill for some time. The outcome of any possible transfer will depend on his willingness. #Juventus [@Gazzetta_it via @Juventus_Reborn]

Carragher is definitely right about Souness tbh. He played for Liverpool for six years, won five league titles, four league cups, three European cups and was probably the best midfielder in the world. How on earth is that being sniffed at

@beffybadbelly He’s a well spoken British guy living in a multi-millionaire American neighborhood 💀 I don’t think you understand how to use “Gammons” correctly.

Would just like to apologise to Alan Ritchson on behalf of the British. We’re not all gammons I promise. And we love that you pummelled him.

Ronnie Taylor, the man beat up by Alan Ritchson, explains how the fight started. "There are numerous people in our neighborhood who caught all of this on Ring doorbells of him speeding through the neighborhood."

@wesstreeting Why are they more likely to be referred? Cos people will sit around a wait for the likes of Shipman and Letby to go on a spree before referring them just cos they're 'local'

Katie’s right. This is absolutely mad. Guess who created this mess? The Conservatives. Guess which Government has just passed emergency legislation to clean up this mess: Labour. Don’t worry, Katie. Lots done, lots more to do.

Doctors trained overseas are 2.5 times more likely to be referred to the medical regulator for malpractice. It's totally insane that the NHS is prioritising overseas doctors over our most talented medical graduates. It's a terrible deal for doctors and patients alike.

Hellish day in A&E. The doctors and nurses are working flat out but the constant stream of patients is just too much. When I was a kid if you went to A&E you saw people with broken arms and bloody eye patches, things cut off or sticking out of their head. Today it was just people who couldn't get a GP appointment. Why do we not have enough doctor's surgeries in this country? Is it financially unviable to run one, too expensive to become a GP, or no longer a sought after career? What the hell is going on?

@90sgoldenera @2manypeople4me @rayaddisonlive Your golden 90s eras came at the expense of GPs' health. I know many GPs who worked exactly as you say and suffered stress induced MIs, had no time for life outside of their work and were wiped out for it even when they were free.

@wasimzi @2manypeople4me @rayaddisonlive Practise used to have more GPs. They worked Monday to Friday. You could queue up in the morning, & pick your Dr. Since Covid. It’s changed for the worse. GPs don’t work Monday to Friday & less of them. Can’t get to see a doctor. Cheaper staff seeing people. More stress on A&E’s

@90sgoldenera @wasimzi @rayaddisonlive Why does each Dr need to work 5 days a week? If there is fudning for 120hrs GP time, why is that any different offered by 2 GPs doing 60hr weeks or 4 GPs doing 30hr weeks? We certainly need more GPs as there are not enough to meet demand, but that needs more funding

@wasimzi @2manypeople4me @rayaddisonlive Pretty reasonable to work 5 days a week isn’t it. When people can’t get an appointment is it not reasonable to expect a doctor to be working Monday to Friday?

@CitizenBad123 @rayaddisonlive The fact you can’t differentiate why you as a layperson might be told don’t use Google to diagnose yourself vs why a qualified medical professional might use it is quite telling.

@90sgoldenera @rayaddisonlive Why would it help? If there is funding to pay for 120 hours of GP time, why does that matter if it is 2 people doign 60hr weeks of 4 people doing 30hr weeks? Output and cost are the same. Population has risen but funding for GP has not kept pace, so there is no money to increase

@Parody_RCGP Don't know what he's on about. Urgent care is far more protected to work in than GP. 15 min slots with no queries/referrals/admin etc. Can't say I've ever been annoyed to seen any overspill in UTC

Love how they end with "no easy answer to this" whilst kicking GPs along the way "annoyed having to pick up the slack". Can't wait till we go private. Can't wait.
🥰mamalovesherbears@mamabearoflots

@epionymous @dave_dlt Like you - I’m not a GP - but I do know that our urgent care do get incredibly annoyed having to pick up the slack - I guess their the ‘on call’ for the whole area - not just the one GP out of hours team ….there’s definitely no easy answer to all of this …

@FPLFella Genuine question. If I report an incident that leads to no claim on either side, why does that increase my premium?
