@P1K1R1T0 Меня как русского их мнение было особенно шокирующим потому что у нас пиратство не только не является чем-то постыдным, это часть нашей культуры. В 90е и 2000е только пираты переводили и завозили нам контент и все у кого есть интернет пользовался торрентами хотя бы один раз

@bosasuka1 @NuniVonBat Piracy in the west is only shameful if you are pirating from an indie creator. They have less resources and passion driven. They need your support. Corpos are seen as evil, soulless and exploitative. They are already rich so they don't need your money.

@suikoondesu @kenbono13 That is not to say they completely hate copyright. They do agree with it on principle, but disagree on implementation. Plagiarism , bootlegs and profiting from others work is still seen as bad. But they believe it needs to be reformed

@suikoondesu @kenbono13 In the west violating the law is not seen as inherently evil. And defying unjust law can even be seen as virtuous. Copyright law has been abused so frequently it became viewed as a tool of corporate oppression. That is why piracy even for selfish reasons is not considered amoral

Я не знаю, но уверен, что везде, как и в России, ненавидят самокатчиков и их двух отцов. Мне кажется, ненависть к самокатчикам должна нас всех объединить. Самокатчик во всех странах - это нищий плоскоголовый камикадзе, несущийся вместе со своим парнем в ЛГБТ-вальгаллу.

@Hu23678 @fishin4l0ve The western AAA devs are so exploitative that the devs will be screwed over regardless if the game succeeds or not. However same can't be said for smaller indie studios that actually need to be supported. Pirating indie games is frowned upon even among pirates

@xdustydustx @pijyon Not a good argument. For westerners, remakes and remasters are viewed as something separate from the original and there are many purists that want to only play the original version. Especially if the remake is bad. GTA:Definitive Edition is an example.

@pijyon 15か20年前なら「販売終了したゲームは別」の部分に違和感はなかったかもしれませんが、近年は20年前のゲームがリマスター発売されたりもするし、ソーシャル系もサ終後にオフライン版の開発が決まったりもするので、単純に販売や配信を停止した即ちフリー！と扱われることには大いに異議があります。

海外の海賊版認識についてちょっとわかったことがある。海外の人はすでに販売終了になったゲーム等ついて、ある意味で保存的な目的で海賊版はギリ許されると考えている。 これに関しては海賊版は許されるという言い方ではなく、アーカイブをしていこうみたいな発信にすると反応が変わる可能性がある。（もちろん日本で許容しない人も多いだろうが） 一方で、日本人がダメと強く言ってる海賊版とは、発売したばかりのもの、販売中のものだ。もちろん販売終了したものに関してもダメとは思っているが、前者と後者では拒否感の強度はかなり変わるだろう。 単純に海賊版、と言った場合、多くの日本人が思い浮かべるのは前者だという認識は必要だろう。
