Microsoft is rolling out an emergency update for Windows 11 after the March 2026 Update broke Microsoft account sign-in in several apps. After the March 2026 Update (KB5079473), users report that they cannot sign in to apps such as Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Office, the Windows Store, and more with Microsoft accounts. Sign-in attempts will display an error message with text similar to "You'll need the Internet for this. It doesn't look like you're connected to the Internet". This appears even if the device is connected to the internet. Today's emergency update KB5085516 (Build 26200.8039) fixes internet issues.
