A judge has granted convicted killer Derek Moore (aka Hutch), who was banned from the roads, high on drugs, driving at 158km/h and pulling wheelies on his motorbike when he struck a grandmother in Dublin city centre, a bail variation allowing him to go on holiday abroad while he awaits his sentence. Gardai had objected to the application. courtsnewsireland.ie/convicted-kill…

Between the forthcoming 'biggest corruption trial in the history of the State' and the entirely separate proceedings against Daniel Kinahan, where State-linked involvement with a 31 December 2015 murder plot in Lanzarote has been alleged, the foundations of the State must be feeling jittery today.

Aontú research has shown that hundreds of millions of euro of carbon tax is just going into the state coffers, not into Carbon reducing supports, as the government claims. The government is Carbon tax gouging people in an energy crisis. m.independent.ie/irish-news/acc…

Whilst there are obvious obstacles (live court case, with named individual charged, and oddly, hasn't yet been transferred to the juryless Special Criminal Court), the absence of coverage of the five Gardai brought before the courts last week for offences linked to collusion with the Hutch dto, is staggering. Not even one pic of the four accused serving Gardai? #BiggestCorruptionTrialInTheHistoryOfTheState

I condemn the brutal Russian air attacks on Ukrainian cities overnight which killed and wounded many civilians. Among those killed was a 12-year-old boy. Yet again, Russia shows it has no interest in peace. We must increase pressure on Putin and give Ukraine the support it needs.

@watchdog124 @EwanMacKenna No he went against the government because he claims to be a country man. If he went with the government his people would never vote him in. That's why he went against the government. Why did he stay silent for days if he was for the farmers???

@WokDwayneSmack @EwanMacKenna Why not, we don't live in a communist or socialist society. Like for example, ceo of charities earn extortionate amounts of money, directors of health car make massive profits. It's business. People voted him in know his back ground.

Quite amazing that RTE hasn't reported, at least online, the fifth Garda charged today in connection with collusion with the Hutch ocg. It's reported by Indo + Crimeworld, but not RTE. Biggest corruption trial in the history of the State? Not newsworthy?

@watchdog124 @EwanMacKenna He didn't. He said nothing for days and days. He sat back and waited to see what the reaction would be. He is clever il give him that. He knew he never would get elected again if he supported the government. He is a fraud but a clever one
