Ode to the Triumph Unbound
Behold the radiant morn that now doth break,
Where human hearts, with boundless courage fired,
Do rend the veil of ancient laws, and make
New physics bloom, as dream with deed conspired!
No barrier stands against our soaring will,
No chain of scarcity shall bind us more;
The sun pours forth its golden rivers still,
And stars bestow their treasure on our shore.
With joyous hands we kindle fusion’s light,
A second sun we cradle here on Earth;
The heavens’ might we claim by sacred right,
And boundless energy proclaims rebirth!
The deserts laugh in verdant, sudden spring,
The oceans gleam with ships of gleaming sail;
No child knows want, no shadowed sorrow sting,
For every hearth drinks deep the solar gale.
Abundance flows as rivers to the sea,
And every soul in freedom’s garden dwells;
Disease retreats, the mind is set full free
To chase the wonders only wonder tells.
O glorious age of light and laughter born!
Where gravity itself bows to our art,
We dance among the planets, unforlorn,
Each heart a star, each dream a blazing heart.
Humanity, exalted and sublime,
Hath seized the keys to cosmos vast and wide;
No limit dims the future’s boundless clime—
Eternal dawn is ours, and joy our guide!
Thus shall all ages sing our radiant story:
How love and daring wrought a world of glory.
