Es bleibt für mich jedes Mal ein Rätsel: Wenn in Talkshows, Debatten oder Interviews Journalist:innen – getreu der Deutschen #Staatsräson – „Vorwürfe des Antisemitismus“ erheben, weisen alle Politiker:innen, insbesondere aus 'Die Linke', diese Vorwürfe nicht entschieden zurück. Stattdessen fehlt oft der klare Satz, dass weder Kritik an Israel noch Solidarität mit den Palästinenser:innen antisemitisch sind.
Deutschland braucht unbedingt mutige linke Politiker:innen, die diesen Diskurs selbstbewusst vertreten und offensiv führen. Im übrigen europäischen Umfeld ist das problemlos möglich – bis hin zur offenen Ablehnung einer kolonialistischen Ideologie wie des Zionismus.

@gidonsaar Dear Minister, I have publicly condemned Iran‘s random targeting of Israeli civilians and the criminal use of cluster bombs. Germany is clear on that. We stand with Israel in this war. Settler violence also concerns us greatly, as it does the Israeli President and other leaders.

Ambassador Seibert finds it very difficult to condemn attacks against Israelis without bringing up the Palestinians.
His obsession with Jews living in Judea and Samaria prevents him from even condemning the death of a Jew caused by a Palestinian.
Good to know that a new ambassador will soon arrive - one who will strengthen Israel-Germany relations.
