Certainly there has to be some critical research on the relational impact of family integrated ministries from a neutral researcher. I’ve certainly observed both positive and negative aspects of both ministry approaches. I think if parents have a failed relationship with their adult children, it’s normal to look for someone to blame. But it’s unfair to point a finger at people who told your kid about Jesus more than you did. A child’s disconnection from his parent has nothing to do with a failed kids ministry. We should value our parental calling to disciple more than that. In addition, many surveys these days seem to be organized efforts to prove a point, rather than honest research. Sadly, we’re better at proving points and making disciples.

I really don't want to pile on. I'm just saying, statistically speaking, could there be some correlation here? I believe the research would say so.

I am proud of every campus of Upstate Church, but I want to give a shout out to Hayden Crompton, our Campus Pastor in Greenville. He planted the campus just over 6 months ago, but today had 284 in attendance in the middle of July. And they baptized 5 new believers today. Let’s go!

This was a special time of prayer for Will Bray, at his last Total Team meeting at Upstate Church. Continue praying for him and Molly, as they prepare to move to Arizona on July 20. @braywill98

We meet monthly with a group of preachers who are developing their calling as a preacher at Upstate Church. Today we heard messages from two of our youngest men, Jacob and Bryce. I am increasingly encouraged to see God raise up the next generation preachers. Let’s go!

By God’s grace, I was elected to serve as the President of the Pastors Conference of the Southern Baptist Convention yesterday. Thank you to everyone who prayed for and supported me. I am excited to invest in pastors next year in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Today, my youngest son, @zachbray8 (23 yrs old), preached at the Simpsonville campus of Upstate Church. We have 18 young men who are preparing to become pastors, and another 18 (both men and women) preparing to serve in a variety of areas. We believe in the next generation!

Congratulations to @WillyRice in his election as SBC President. I pray Gods uses him greatly as he leads our convention. I am also thankful for the character and integrity of @JoshuaWPowell. These men were exemplary in their leading under much pressure this past year. Charge on!
