Friday was the worst day of school attendance this year, with only 71 per cent of students at school. It was the last day of term 2 and the weather wasn’t great, true. But education really matters, and every school leader should be saying so, not making it a nice to have. When people who care send me screen shots like this, I can only agree with the facepalm. By actively encouraging soft options, this person is not only letting down students in their community, but every educator out there who gives a damn.
