Grateful for every day. Things aren’t as bad as they seem. History repeats. Experience isn’t unique. Involved in mixed Agriculture with @nstirlingdowns.

@Jusakstud @nstirlingdowns Those are great questions, I’d like to say it’s to return fire on the invaders. The correct answer is less exciting, it’s how the bale stacker operator started the stack.

@nstirlingdowns so many questions about the great wall of hay?? Most importantly what caused the gap? Catapult, Trebuchet? The invaders not using flaming arrows looks like a missed opportunity.

Some pictures from harvest so far, we’re looking forward to cracking back into it after the recent rain.

@ajcookmech Late break followed by numerous small ‘just in time rains’, making the crops efficient. One big rain in late August got us out of trouble. Should be average yields, hopefully better. Still a week away. Feeling for everywhere having a tough season. What’s your avg rainfall?

Pretty happy with our crops given below average rainfall. 🌱 We got to see a different view of some wheat chasing down some escapees…

@WheatWatcher @PeterHolding @gabriellechan Not sure you’d call that journalism; just a fairy story to try to stir up something that isn’t there! And not sure why a supposed journalist would attack staff who are entitled to holidays. Trash journalism is being too kind!

Classing our worker merino rams, we rely on a mixture of physical appraisal and data collection to determine which animals we use.

Lambs are well and truly on the ground! At preg scanning we separate ewes into twins, triplets and singles so that we can appropriately monitor each group, and in drier seasons, provide adequate supplementary feed.
