@wright_iv Every ounce Pyrethroid, Lannate, Avaunt, Besiege, Vantacor, BlackHawk, Intrepid Edge within Food Safety Guidelines & Label Rotations. A Residual Insecticide sprayed every 2nd day, + Pyrethroid + Lannate added also. Non Bt corn has major problems also especially when silks dry.

Summer Sweet Corn- most expensive and intense crop ever worked. Do everything possible, above and beyond. Still got 15-25% escaped CEW & FAW. These planting sprayed 25-32 times every day, 7 days a week. No off spray days. SweetCorn is turned down at 2% damage.

@rtpiv Distribution rejects any corn with 2% Worms. GMO corn still has to be treated when silks dry, Bt expression is weak. Bt can save some, but the public wants non GMO. Had 3 calls this year from growers in other states with bad Worm problems in GMO can’t hardly sell.

@wbriggs12 That’s why BT GMO sweet corn is more environmentally friendly. It eliminates the need for multiple spraying of insecticides.

@wright_iv We have to use Vantacor infurrow at planting for Lesser & FAW. That only leaves 2 Besiege sprays at 10oz. Anymore Besiege and you off label. It takes 26-32 sprays on Summer SweetCorn in our area. CEW pressure is unlike any other. We spray everyday, 2 Besiege sprays all allowed.

Pictures of early leaf spot gone wild shared with me from colleagues in Jackson Co Florida, just south of Seminole Co Georgia. GA Peanut growers- we are in the toughest period of disease control for your crop. Stay on time with sprays and scout your fields. UGA Extension

@hydrick1 We need some Sunshine Hydro! It’s been a few years, can’t remember last time cotton looked this good. Hurricane Michael picked last one on October 10, so I probably need to shut up. We all need a good one this year!
