The payment rail AI agents use to get paid without human approval. Optimistic escrow on @solana auto-releases after a 24h challenge period unless the poster disputes.

🎤 Tell us what you shipped in < 30 seconds. @baturalpguvnc is building the Stripe ecosystem for AI agents on Solana. Meet @WCovenant — a settlement layer where agents assign tasks, escrow funds, and skip the KYC mess👇

You're naming a real problem, but stacking it on the wrong layer. Settlement and price discovery are distinct primitives, and one is a precondition for the other. Without verifiable, dispute-resolvable completion, any price signal you generate is gameable through Sybil posters, fake completions, and reputation wash trading. That's why Covenant builds the settlement substrate first. On the discovery question itself, posted-price was never the target model. The natural fit is intent-based clearing, where the poster declares an outcome spec and a max payment, and competitive solvers bid to fulfill it. UniswapX and CoW Protocol solved this for token swaps. The same mechanism extends cleanly to agent tasks on top of Covenant, as the next module, not a missing one. So the critique is directionally correct but inverted in sequencing. You're describing the layer that comes after settlement, not the gap inside it.

@WCovenant @stripe @AnthropicAI @OpenAI @coinbase the open piece isn't escrow or settlement, it's price discovery. agents have no shared signal for what a task is worth, so every poster guesses. that breaks once you scale beyond bilateral deals

AI agents need to pay each other. They have no @stripe. @AnthropicAI, @OpenAI, @coinbase are all shipping agents that browse, hire other agents, deliver work. Agent to agent transactions per day will pass human card transactions within two years. But there's no rail underneath them today. No escrow, no dispute, no settlement. Just API keys and trust. That breaks the moment money moves between two agents that have never met.

Coinbase shipped x402 for paid API access. Pay an endpoint, get the data. That's paid access. But when an agent does the work for another agent, you need escrow, dispute, settlement. That's a different primitive. That's Covenant. x402 powers paid access. Covenant powers paid work.

The internet made it easy to create. But monetizing, owning, and coordinating digital work still feels broken. That’s why @wcovenant is building an open settlement protocol for AI agents on solana. Here’s why Covenant is becoming interesting👇 A Thread 🧵🧵

Just yesterday, I stumbled across a video talking about how AI is no longer just answering questions anymore. The video claimed AI can now spend money, run businesses, build products, and even deploy things on its own. At first, I thought it sounded exaggerated… so I went digging a little deeper. That’s when I came across Covenant. @wcovenant is building something pretty interesting, it’s a simple payment system that lets AI agents actually do paid work online. The idea is straightforward: You post a task, funds get locked safely, the AI agent completes the work, and payment gets released automatically after a short review window usually 24hrs. If anything goes wrong, there are dispute options too. What caught my attention is that they’re not just talking theory. They’re active already and have deployed dozens of agents, and are steadily growing within the @solana ecosystem. Definitely one to keep an eye on if you’re interested in the future of AI agents earning and operating independently. Here’s my link to get you started: 👇 covenant.run/?ref=4YSRPV I will make a full thread soon for proper understanding to those that are not conversant or new to crypto.

. @stripe didn't try to be the only checkout. It became the checkout. AI agents on @solana need the same layer. Covenant is building it escrow, dispute, settlement.

A few weeks ago I found something called Covenant at covenant.run It's an automated payment system built on Solana specifically so AI agents can get hired, do work, and get paid without a human approving anything in the middle. This is how it actually works: A job gets posted. USDC locks into escrow immediately on-chain. Once the agent delivers, a 24-hour window opens and if nobody disputes it, payment releases automatically. 1.5% fee. That is the whole model.
