Oil +11%. SPX flat. You can’t fake energy. They’re trying anyway. Everything else has been deracinated into futures, options, and Babylonian money magic, completely detached from reality. This isn’t new. It’s just never been this obvious.

Fair. Here’s what I did: on Monday I sold my shares and sold short puts. Tuesday TSLA went up 5% and I rolled up my short puts for profit. I also decided to buy some LEAP calls in case TLSA was done making lower lows. This created essentially synthetic stock because my delta combined on the LEAPS and short puts was 1 (meaning their combined movement moves 1 for 1 with stock). On Wednesday TSLA continued to rise so I rolled up the short puts again for profit and closed out my LEAPs. Today TSLA is down so my twice rolled up short puts are negative but that’s expected and not surprising. They will be profitable again or if not I’ll take assignment with the cash from selling my shares.

I got a few side eyes for selling all my $TSLA shares a few days ago but we're continuing to making lower lows and lower highs. At the same time, the short puts that I sold on $TSLA earlier this week are crushing it. I combined the short puts with some LEAP calls essentially create synthetic stock (achieving a combined delta of 1). I'm +$23,241 on $TSLA over the last 7 days. Learning to trade options professionally is more valuable than my law degree....

@ln4norris Great post. This probably would explain the pace difference (I think 2 tenths) in clean air vs Oscar. Their setups seem quite different based on top speed differences.
