@SamaHoole I have had normal A1c levels for over 2 1/2 years after being diagnosed as diabetic. No meds just a low carb diet.

Diabetes is, by definition, a disease in which the body has lost the ability to handle glucose. Glucose is the molecule carbohydrates break down into when they are digested. This is not in dispute. This is in every textbook, on every Diabetes UK page, on every NHS leaflet. The standard NHS dietary recommendation for an adult with diabetes is approximately 130 to 225 grams of carbohydrate per day, distributed across 3 regular meals, with starchy foods featured prominently at each one. The disease is the inability to process the substance. The recommended diet is the substance. They then prescribe a drug to help the patient process the substance the leaflet just told them to eat. The drug is paid for by the NHS. The leaflet is written by the NHS. The disease is managed by the NHS. Nobody appears to find the loop strange. The loop is the system.

Ubuntu Hired Security Research Firm After Rust Re-writes Raised "Serious Concerns" With the release of Ubuntu 26.04 (Long Term Support), Ubuntu is revealing massive security and ship-ability issues with the Rust-based, GNU Coreutils replacements.

Ubuntu 26.04 (Long Term Support) is shipping tomorrow… and Canonical has published an update on their quest to replace GNU CoreUtils with Rust-based re-writes. Highlights: - After developers raised “some serious concerns”, Canonical hired an external security research firm to evaluate the Rust re-writes (known as “uutils”). - That security firm quickly found 113 significant issues, with a large portion of them being severe security issues warranting a CVE. - Only some of those issues in the Rust re-writes have been fixed for the Ubuntu 26.04 release. - Repeat: Ubuntu 26.04 is shipping with significant known issues in the new Rust coreutils. - Some of the most critical Rust-Re-Written commands (cp, mv, and rm) were found to contain a large number of significant “Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use” issues, the kind of issues which create race condition vulnerabilities. The kind often exploited by hackers. - As such, cp, mv, and rm will not be shipping in Ubuntu 26.04. Even with their clear “it’s fine if Ubuntu 26.04’s rust re-writes contain significant bugs” policy… the issues with cp, mv, and rm were simply TOO severe. - Despite this undeniably disastrous rollout of the Rust-based rewrites of Coreutils, the Ubuntu team plans to ship the next release, in 6 months (26.10), with 100% of the GNU Coreutils replaced with the (currently comically broken) Rust re-writes. discourse.ubuntu.com/t/an-update-on…

@MaxVelocityWX It was closer to Lancaster and DeSoto than red oak. I was about 4 miles east of it.

12:00 pm, 3.5.26: Long post, but more on the reported tornado in the Red Oak area during last night's storms. Thank you to Ray from X for sending a picture from last night's storm on the Ellis/Dallas county border. This shows the lowering/cloud that another page shared last night (from a TxDOT camera) claiming a possible tornado north of Red Oak. This photo was taken at Loop 9 and Reindeer Rd south of Lancaster. What I'm seeing is a definite lowering with rain immediately behind. This would be consistent with the gust front we followed last night as it moved through Glenn Heights. Those gusty winds can make a lot of things happen, including rolling shelf clouds and upward moving scud clouds. Ray also sent a second photo with a very different shape that was taken just seconds after this photo, which makes me think of a shelf cloud with scud that was very active due to the strong winds in that part of the storm. There are also some pointing to what looked like rotation on velocity radar (shown in the circle and question mark), but that was farther north in the core of the storm. This was level with the radar location in Burleson, so inbound/outbound might have been a bit deceiving as well. Overall, I don't see anything that screams tornado to me. Not all cloud lowerings are rotating and are wall clouds/tornadoes. Shelf clouds are often mistaken for wall clouds, and can be very intimidating with the amount of motion they show - and the motion of upward moving scud, especially when captured in a moment like these photos. I've been fooled a few times too, but the speed at which this cloud was changing (per the photos) and the absence of clear rotation in that part of the storm (as opposed to the straight line winds that were very evident) leaves me doubting the diagnosis of a tornado. I understand this may come across as calling some liars. Trust me, it's not that personal. I've had multiple people - both in person and online - ask me about this, so I'm sharing my thoughts. I've always committed to being genuine and honest. I hope this answers those questions.

11:20 am, 3.5.26: Just a few passing showers (like these in Johnson and Somervell Counties) are possible today as breezy south winds bring rich gulf moisture. Storm chances return tomorrow - see previous post for details on that!

@sometweather I have been a spotter since 1980. I am certain it was all the way down. It was most likely near the DeSoto and Lancaster border

Looks like there might have been some broad rotation at the top of that gust front, but I didn’t see anything that would make me think there was a developing tornado. Max Velocity shared a report of a tornado in Red Oak looking at that, but it feels like a stretch based on what I was seeing during that time.

Just in from NASA satellites: No net "global warming" in 28 years. February 2026 was cooler than February 1998. If every emission warms and drives more warming of the planet, how is that possible?

3.1.26: It makes sense that the first post of meteorological spring is about severe weather potential. I'm still watching Wednesday and Friday for storms, as is the Storm Prediction Center. I try not to opine much on timing before we get high resolution model data (we'll start getting that tomorrow for Wednesday), but right now Wednesday’s event looks more likely to affect our area in the evening hours (which, if it holds, would mean plenty of daytime heating to intensity storms to our west). It's also too early to know too much about what modes of severe weather to expect. Friday’s event is too far out to say much about either timing or intensity, but it does look like a higher coverage event overall that will probably go into Saturday. Stay tuned for updates, and I’ll have the 7-day forecast out later today.

It is critically important that Christians get their understanding of who the Anti Christ is/will be from the BIBLE and the Bible ONLY, and to lay aside all the misconceptions that came from Left Behind movies/books, etc.
