@gonglei89 Uh, don’t you think there was a lot of blame going around everywhere? We basically had rolling scandals throughout the year about how badly the gov was doing. US seemed similar to me.

China getting judged and blamed for COVID deaths in ways no other countries has been is the story some people have been salivating over for 3 years. Everywhere else it’s tragic failure to deal with a natural disaster but in China it’s a demonic political sin of the worst kind.

No the thesis does not argue that but none of Musk’s followers are going to read it anyway. This is the world’s richest man trying to pizzagate his former employee. For what? It’s so so dangerous.

Amazing what some companies can pour resources into. I thought cars were a low-ish margin business.

I discovered this secret document (the publicly available terms of service) that says Twitter sometimes limits the distribution or visibility of content.

@gonglei89 I think that’s a bit generous vis a vis their level of preparation, but either way signs seem to point to the next few months not going very well unfortunately, so I’d expect at some point another (temporary) reversal.

Honestly I would not be surprised if we get a snap back with an “I told you so” message or subtext from the government. Not saying this is going to happen, just that it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

@Noahpinion I’m skeptical this is the correct way to evaluate the policies. Every iteration of this has included enormous waste, but has also stood up a set of successful industries.
