@JoeMcCann3 Maybe not a popular opinion, but I do not like the fact we had 3 redshirts this past year. I'm not against projects, but IMHO we need to severely limit them. 20% of our team was RS this past season, can't do that and be a serious program at the same time.

I don't really see #mubb adding any more high school recruits right now. Anyone out there that's attainable is so low impact, he's a certain redshirt. Maybe if MU gets a couple nice additions in the portal, they'd use that last scholarship on a long term project

@jhagsMU IMHO, Johnston is redshirt candidate. He's about 145th ranked and from what I have seen, doesn't have a great shot. He is however atheltic as heck and looks like he can play some defense.

What’s good for MU is all of the guys we want back are underclassmen…. If redshirt experiment works on 1 those guys and if Egbuono ends up being what we expect - it could be a quick bounce back. Johnston feels like a sleeper…haven’t seen a ton of footage

@JohnWillkom 100% spot on. There is a pretty decent chance this is the most losses ever in any Marquette season. 1963-64 is the current record with 21 losses. Chances are we eclipse that this year.

McDonald’s All-American honors now for Ethan Johnston. He has so many skills that translate well to the college level: size, athleticism, shot making, defensive versatility, and ball handling. He could be a hidden gem for Marquette in their incoming class. Underrated. #mubb

Ethan Johnston’s athleticism is unquestioned and he perfectly fits the mold of the defensive Swiss Army knives that Shaka craves. The shot making here is obviously impressive too. But the ball handling for someone of his size (6’7”) is what jumps off the screen to me.
