@Valerie_Onchain Where is the "Here's what went wrong" part of this post?

4 months ago I decided to quit my job and go crypto full time
Today I'm back on a new 9-5 😭
Here's what went wrong 👇🏻
Valerie@Valerie_Onchain
I quit my job today. Going full-time into crypto and building my personal brand on X. Let’s see how this ages!

Had an engagement in blockchain/Web3 hit a wall AGAIN at the terms stage.
Everything aligned… until it came to formalising the agreement.
It made me think:
Web3 often runs on trust + speed 🤝
But how do you actually treat agreements in the space?
Fully formal contracts, or more flexible setups?
And how do you keep commitment strong when there’s less structure?
Want to hear your experiences.

@FefeDemeny My SPX and BTC shorts still open but seriously down from the first call?
Should I ride it or cut losses now?

I used to take Liverpool losing personally. Everyone knew if they lost I’d be in a foul mood for the rest of the day. I was that invested.
But this season something’s changed. The anger’s gone, the passion’s faded, and now when they lose I just don’t care. I’m not arsed.
It’s a strange feeling, but I just don’t feel connected to this Liverpool team anymore.

@web3reagz Yeah. That's Nebular space in Bali.
They even had (still have?) sauna and ice bath!

If you want a job in 2026, and you have prior work experience, I once again remind you: stop waiting for your boss to tell you what to do.
The less direction you need, the more employable you will be.
If as an employer I need to constantly tell you what to do, I might as well tell that to Claude/ChatGPT, and it will get done faster and better.
If you want to be employable in 2026 onwards you need to anticipate or at least do your best to anticipate what the company needs and how you can best solve issues at the company without expecting to be constantly told what to do.
Same applies to interviews and especially first interviews. You need to research EVERYTHING you possibly can about the company you are interviewing with and have several solid thought through ideas of how exactly you can fit in and help the organization.
No one owes you anything. You are not entitled to a job. Companies don't need to hire anyone really. So you need to be so good that it's silly NOT to hire you.

I’ve been deep in Solana for 5 years now, still showing up every day trying to build something real.
I focus a lot on my own growth, but I never want to leave people behind. That’s why I’ll always help where I can, especially the friends I’ve made along the way.
And honestly, most of those friendships are with people I’ve never even met in real life. They’re the ones who stayed through every market cycle, who truly understand what it means to live and breathe this space.
I don’t regret that at all. I want to be surrounded by people who are chasing big things, who think bigger and push further.
You become the people around you, so choose that carefully!
I’m just genuinely grateful for everyone I’ve met on this journey. Every conversation, every message, every moment… it all matters more than you think 🙏
I wouldn’t be here without my husband’s support since day one and the people who’ve been part of this path with me 💜
I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m closer than I was before, and that’s what keeps me going.
If you’re wondering whether it’s worth being here, building, showing up, putting yourself out there… it is!!!
I’ll always support people who are truly putting in the work. It pays off and I’ve seen it firsthand 💜

I’m convinced @kfc has a budget for “air marketing”
Walking out the gym, feeling disciplined… then that smell smacks.
Catching strays at 7am outside the gym is crazy.
@kfc's smell got a higher marketing budget than most startups.
Lowkey smells better than it tastes - budget well spent.

Overwhelming response from South Africans, love seeing such a strong community and real appetite to connect.
I’m starting a group chat, so if you’d like to be added, drop a comment below.
My DMs are a bit flooded right now.

Did you know? South Africa has one of the strongest crypto developer & builder ecosystems in Africa. Cape Town and Johannesburg are hubs for Web3 devs & fintech startups. This is exactly why I started the builders table dinners.

🚨 “NO LAWS. NO GOVERNMENT. NO RENT.” — MAN SAYS HE’S REBUILDING “ATLANTIS” ON HIS LAND IN WEST TEXAS AND TELLING PEOPLE TO JUST SHOW UP
“C’mon everybody… let’s get this revolution started.”
This man says he’s opening up his land in West Texas for people to live for free as he tries to build what he calls “Atlantis”, completely outside the system.
Here’s what he’s offering:
• 20 acres of land
• No rent, no bills, no “traps”
• No cops, no government presence
• Bring your camper, RV, tent… even weapons
He says if 1,000 people show up, he’ll “make it work.”
He already has water, a tractor running, plans for crops, and says donations are coming in to expand the land and even buy campers to give away to people who join.
And he calls it one thing: A revolution.
He’s telling people to message him for the address and physically come live there.
The strangest part?
People are actually considering it.
Are we about to watch 1,000 strangers build a lawless city from scratch… or is this how a documentary starts before everything goes completely off the rails?
