How to talk about your product without sounding salesy
If your posts feel like ads people will scroll past them.
But if they feel real, people will listen.
Here’s how to share what you’re building without chasing likes or sounding pushy
1. Don’t say it’s good show it.
Instead of “our product is fast,” show it in action.
“Swapped tokens in 3 seconds. No lag, no failed tx. That’s how smooth it should be.”
People believe stories, not slogans.
2. Lead with the problem, not the product.
No one wakes up thinking, “I need a new Web3 app.”
They wake up thinking, “why does this keep stressing me out ”
Instead of “Try our NFT marketplace,”
say → “Still losing 10% fees every time you sell? We fixed that.”
Talk pain first. Solution later.
3. Tell stories, not stats.
Numbers don’t connect. People do.
“A creator DM’d me last month he lost $2k to a fake airdrop. That’s why we built this alert feature.”
That hits harder than “We protect your assets.”
4. Make it a convo, not a pitch.
Talk with people, not at them.
“Would you rather use one fast chain or five slow multi-chains?”
Drop your product naturally in the replies or follow-up.
No force. Just flow.
5. Use “you” more than “we.”
Salesy posts are brand-centered.
Engaging ones are audience-centered. Instead of saying this
“We built the most secure wallet.”
Say this
“You’ll never worry about losing access again here’s why”
That one word you changes everything.
6. Teach, don’t sell.
When you teach, people start trusting you. “3 ways scammers drain wallets (and how to avoid them).”
You can drop your product naturally after explaining the issue.
Value first, pitch later.
7. Let users talk for you.
Nothing beats real proof.
“Didn’t expect this much love after launch shoutout to everyone who tested early.”
People trust what others say about you not what you say about yourself.
8. Build in public.
Don’t wait till it’s perfect show the messy middle. “Still fixing a few bugs, but progress looks good”
Honesty > polish. Always.
9. Post updates like a human.
Not “we’ve rolled out v2.0 of the feature upgrade”
Try → “Finally fixed that lag everyone complained about thanks for your patience fr.”
Same info, more human.
10. End with connection, not CTA.
Instead of “Try now ” say →“Curious if this would actually solve your problem thoughts?”
Let conversation lead to conversion.
The truth:
If you’re genuinely helping people, you don’t need to sound like you’re selling.
Show up. Share value. Talk like a person.
And watch people choose your product not because you sold it,
but because they felt it.
