I got tired of Google Analytics so I built Puls. Cookieless, lightweight analytics in a single PHP file and SQLite. No frameworks, no dependencies, no build step. Drop it on any PHP host and go. And it's open source. I wrote a bit about it here: jarnesjo.com/writing/puls-c…

@MythThrazz Always interested in finding new opportunities to make more money, so it would come down to pricing I guess. I rather buy a service to sell as my own than develope the service from scratch, and I think there is a lot of agency owners that thinks like me.

ps. turned out it wasn't Yes, I've made a huge progress: - released whydoesmysitesuck.com - got a lot of likes and a few followers - released the yearly susbscription payment for WP Multitool - updated the design of curlship.com a bit + added cron that automatically adds sites there if you're adding to one of the directories But: - 0 sales - 0 engagement on Reddit/Linkedin - 0 videos recorded (besides the ones for wdmss) - -1 long term relationship ( not dead, just ended )
Marcin Dudek@MythThrazz

This might be my day... I'll use this opportunity to announce that... WP Multitool now has a yearly plan. $199/yr, all 13 modules, unlimited sites. Same thing as the $499 lifetime - just lower commitment if you want to try it first. (something for all of you that failed to snipe it for $50 🤣)

@seraleev Nice, same as my son but that was some 20 years ago about the same age, lovely, it is all about access to tech nowadays. 20 years ago my son had his own laptop I gave him, so he scripted for games and stuff.

I just filmed my 8-year-old son writing scripts for Roblox. Kids these days start coding earlier than we started learning multiplication.

Damn, making a website with AI is just too easy, all you need is to: - tell AI to suggest a name - no, not that one - no, not that one either - tell it to check if the domain is available - it can't, it hallucinated that it's available - check yourself - it's not available - go back to suggesting names - tell AI to pick a hosting provider - it recommends one that shut down in 2023 - pick one yourself - tell AI to set up DNS - it gives you the wrong IP - fix it yourself - tell AI to set up SSL - it generates a config for Nginx but you're on Apache - tell it you're on Apache - it apologizes and gives you the Nginx config again - fix it yourself - tell AI to install WordPress - it writes a bash script that doesn't work on your OS - tell it your OS - it apologizes - tell AI to pick a theme - it picks one that costs $79 - tell it to pick a free one - it picks one last updated in 2019 - tell AI to write all the content - it writes "Welcome to [Company Name], your trusted partner in innovative solutions" - tell it to not write like that - it writes "Welcome to [Company Name], your trusted partner in cutting-edge solutions" - tell it to write like a human - it writes "Hey there! We're SO excited you're here!" - give up and write it yourself - tell AI to design the layout - it looks great in the mockup - it looks like garbage on mobile - tell it to make it responsive - it adds 400 lines of CSS that break the desktop version - tell AI to add cookie consent - it adds a US-style banner that violates GDPR - tell it about GDPR - it writes a 9000-word privacy policy for a 5-page website - tell AI to set up the contact form - it works but emails go to spam - tell it to fix email deliverability - it suggests installing a plugin that hasn't been updated in 3 years - fix SPF yourself - tell AI to fix DKIM - it gives you a key for the wrong domain - tell AI to fix DMARC - it sets policy to p=none which does nothing - tell AI to add meta titles and descriptions - it stuffs every keyword known to humanity into 160 characters - tell it to be more natural - it removes all keywords - tell AI to add structured data - it generates schema markup with fields that don't exist - Google Search Console shows 47 errors - tell AI to fix them - it adds new ones - tell AI to optimize images - it suggests WebP - half your images are now broken in Safari - tell AI to add alt texts - it writes "image of a picture showing a photo of a visual representation" - tell it to write useful alt texts - it writes "image1.jpg" - tell AI to optimize Core Web Vitals - it doesn't know what your LCP element is - it guesses wrong - tell it to check the hero image - it compresses it to 12 pixels - tell AI to add translations - it translates your Polish website to English with Google Translate quality - your customers ask why the menu says "kitchen" instead of "menu" - tell AI to add accessibility - it adds aria-label="button" to every button - the screen reader now says "button button button" - tell AI to test on all browsers - it can't open a browser - it tells you "it should work on all modern browsers" - it doesn't work on Safari - tell AI to set up backups - it writes a cron job that backs up to the same server - tell it that's not how backups work - it apologizes - tell AI to set up staging - it copies production to staging with the live database - customers get test emails - tell AI to write a blog post - it writes "In today's fast-paced digital landscape..." ... and you have a website. Web development is dead.

@webbsnack Honestly I don't have much experience with TSF. Was a Yoast customer and then switched directly to Rank Math & SEOPress. RM had everything I needed, so didn't have too look elsewhere. And I think it is fast enough.

Flyttade hela snittränta.se från Gatsby till Astro nu när jag upptäckte att Gatsby håller på att dö. Mycket trevlig upplägg.

@BunnyCDN What would a general price be on a WordPress site launched on your template be with a small amount of traffic like 25GB and like 100 posts and pages?

Sleep for 8 hours. Work for 8 hours. That’s only 12 hours out of 24. You still have another 16 hours to execute more on your startup's marketing, product, distribution, and sales strategy. Time is not the issue.

@FluentCartWP is a breath of fresh air from WooCommerce, and clients are loving what they are seeing (and so is the bank account!). Can't wait to see how it evolves even further. You know what would be cool though? A proper ticketing and events system, like The Events Calendar.

@webbsnack Why not just try? There's 30day money back guarantee anyway. I'm heading out soon and have a ton of things to do still, may not be able to spin a proper test for multisite environment for testing.
