A new plugin of interest for developers and power users called WP Debug Toolkit. It is created by Elias Lista, who is a member of the Soflyy team. I created a short video walk-through. youtu.be/3ooQKKE1wIw

The new version of #Elementor is introducing atomic elements and the ability to work with CSS classes directly. For the most part this is working well, but there is a problem, which I show in this video, that I hope the Elementor team can fix. youtu.be/70UnW8TbQ6E

I looked at the data from the 2024 Survey of WordPress Professionals, focusing on “one person agencies” in the United States. There were some unexpected findings from which I drew a few conclusions. I hope you find it interesting and thought provoking. webtng.com/2024-survey-of…

@pootlepress Not sure if you are joking? You could cut off 75% of the time by just handing the cat the treat instead of the entire sequence, but where is the fun?

@Tmeister It is very niche. I wouldn't expect a lot of sales and it will take a lot of marketing to get a wider reach.

WordPress devs: What's the minimum yearly price for a PRO utility plugin made by a solo dev? I've seen a plugin for $19/yr, but that's not sustainable. Should it be $49+ the base? I know that depends on the value the Plugin brings to the table, but For example, what would YOU pay (or charge) for this plugin? jwtauth.pro I'm struggling to set a price for it. WDYT? #WordPress #WP #Plugins

@thekevingeary Also, Gutenberg is the best piece of code in the entire WP ecosystem (that’s why Drupal also uses it.) UI/UX is a different discussion but comparing Gutenberg to Classic editor is like comparing MacOs Sequoia to Windows 98 😂

#WordPress scorecard> - Pointed out the glaring issues with WP leadership years ago. - Called Gutenberg a trash can and said that WP should stop pouring resources into it. - Called for a shift of resources to wp-admin improvements and UI refresh/unification. - Called for a shift of resources to modernizing core CMS features. - Called for native CPTs and custom fields. - Called for a collective shift to professional page builders that facilitate proper, scalable, maintainable work. - Called for the end of theme directories and the adoption of a standardized framework for building on Wordpress. - Called for a rebuild of the Media Library. - Called for standards, best practices, and higher development/design quality across the ecosystem. - Called for a greater focus on agencies and freelancers as the core user avatar for self-hosted WP instead of the failed "everyone" avatar. - Called for a greater focus on quality WP content creation. - Called for a greater focus on recruiting talented designers to the ecosystem. Imagine where WP could be today instead of where it is and what's happening to it. Now cue the "where are your commits" bots...

@rilwis A View Post link shows when you first save a post but then no longer shows. There no longer is an update button and I do not see a view icon next to the Save button. A View Post link doesn't show in the admin bar after first save until the page is refreshed.
