@AlexStandiford Instead of renting, I built an office in my back garden. Allows for a physical and (often) mental separation of work from the house. I've tried co-working spaces too, but they don't work for me.

💯 I’ve got 4 so far and it’s been so much fun. - Kinsta (Backup Manager) - Perfmatters - RaffePress - FluentCart I don’t even submit feature requests anymore. It’s a wash by the time you try to explain the feature, exchange multiple emails, and wait for something that may never arrive.

Vibe Coders I feel like there are a number of buckets that folks could possibly fall into, rather than a single "vibe coder" bucket. Three months ago, I didn't know anything about coding. But, I have 12 years experience in WordPress as an agency owner and, before that, 17 years as an IT engineer so I understand security, the desire to follow best practices, etc. All the years in WordPress and especially the past 2 years helping product creators under InfluenceWP, I've looked at a ton of products, which has provided immense value. All that to say... I think ahead. I don't just prompt. For example, I have a parent menu item "Pine Digital." Under that, I have my separate plugins. Before I just prompted to change the parent menu icon, I thought, "What if one of my plugins were deactivated or removed?" What "owns" the icon? I didn't find out by accident. I got ahead of it. I'm having probably the most fun I've ever had in WordPress.

@PineDigitalCo Oooo...that sounds cool and practical. 🎉 So essentially a mini-plugin, which I think we are going to see a massive increase in (mini-plugins are something I've been exploring for the last 6-8 months).

So far, it’s focused their code snippets feature. I created an importer from other code snippet solutions. Currently, PM only allows importing from other PM installs. There’s also a number of QOL improvements for managing the snippets. Basically, solving things for myself and clients and sharing with others.

@WPTutz @QuickBooksUK That's a very Intuit thing to do and I agree, a basic feature.

@QuickBooksUK why lock the supplier credit feature behind an upgrade in the Sole Trader plans? Surely, that's a basic feature that you have locked into a forced upgrade! One more reason to look for alternatives! 🤬

@RafalTomal The Irish goodbye is easier than saying "no". People's desire to be nonconfrontational superseding polite rejection, I'd assume.

Had a client call. We agreed on budget. They sounded excited. I sent the proposal with three pricing options. Then nothing. No yes. No no. No answer. It's a small % of clients, but it keeps happening and I can't figure out why. What turns people off after a call goes well? 🤔

For years people have gamed @Shopify's app store with fake reviews and installs. Instead of banning those dodgy developers, they've removed 10,000s of legitimate reviews from honest apps like ours. We lost multiple 5-star reviews with no notice. How is that fair @ShopifyDevs?
