Just received a media pack compiled by @Doiregaa PRO Chris Keenan. Probably the most informative document I’ve ever been sent by a county. This stuff is invaluable for informing commentary. Brilliant work. Imagine one of these for all 32 counties 🙏

@MKBurke1 Clarification now that in club games (for now at least) it’s as it was. However, that’s in new rules publication 7156825671344 revision 1816562834 so might have changed today.

Genuine question - how does a referee decide when a game is over in club football, and how does he signal it's over? Is it when the playing time is up plus injury time as in the old days? Is it when the ball goes dead from open play? Can anyone please clarify? #GAA

@PlayerGaelic At the point of the recovery tackle, the referee was counting all of the following; Lapsed seconds for advantage, Steps of attacking player, Bounces of attacking player (his last play was a bounce) So to be potentially criticised for 0.5 seconds would be harsh IMO

Donegal anger and Derry delight. The ref signals advantage. Four seconds later McEldowney wins the ball back with a superb tackle. The ref looks as if he might give the free, then rewards the tackler instead.
