actually crazy how many people I used to talk to and trade with every day for months, if not years, just straight up disappeared from crypto this past year. it's weird how you build up this series of quasi-relationships with other humans in this space, shrouded behind an anonymous account, people with whom you spend more time talking with than your actual friends and loved ones and then one day they just disappear oftentimes you don't even know why - crashed out? got robbed? rebranded under a new identity? ...died? and then all you're left with is a mirage of a person who you feel like you've lost, but you essentially have never known, just an attachment to a story about someone that you implicitly trust through a pfp and a name. the losses sometimes can be quite mournful, I never thought I'd feel that way about someone online given that I was never into talking to lots of randoms on msn or myspace as a kid. I'm not sure I could ever explain this feeling to anyone else I know irl - all of which is to say that you really don't know what you can mean to someone who you talk to behind a screen.

I started using Polymarket two days ago and decided to vote on the Epstein files. There was a vote on if any new files will be published by the 22nd of December. No new files were officially released by the 22nd but some Polymarket whales started pumping the yes button after the fake vid of Epstein which Polymarket tweeted about and then deleted the tweet for some reason (really sus) was released. After a while someone said they found a data set 8 leak and the yes button price started pumping again but without any official release. For some reason in the middle of the voting dispute polymarket added some additional context (helping the yes button) a whale scooped more yes shares and everyone got liquidated without any official release yet from the DOJ. Anyway this vote remained on yes without any official release ( that contradicts the rules of the poll). I want to ask Polymarket are we voting by the rules and reality or we are voting on how much a whale buys? if you check CBS news and DOJ the release was on the 23rd of December 2025 00:07 ET. And I voted according to this. So far my Polymarket experience is not the best.
