“Don’t like gay marriage? Don’t marry the same sex.” “Don’t like abortion? Don’t get one.” “Don’t like gender ideology? Then don’t transition.” This is a lazy, morally bankrupt argument of a culture that’s traded truth for comfort. We now act as if every serious issue can be reduced to personal taste, just like picking the flavor of our favorite ice cream. We act as if whatever we believe has no implications outside of ourselves. You would never say: “Don’t like child abuse? Don’t abuse your kid.” “Don’t like racism? Don’t be racist.” “Don’t like drunk driving? Then don’t do it.” Why not? Because we all instinctively understand that some things are just wrong, and not just for you and me, but for everyone, because these things they hurt people, they corrupt innocence and truth, they distort reality, and they destroy the moral foundation we all depend on to live in a functioning society. The idea that all moral issues are private choices is a lie. These things don’t stay in our bedrooms or at clinic or in our heads. They seep into our schools, the media, law, culture, and to the next generation. Everyone pays the price for the lies we choose to accept.

@weldon15 @iiiToronto @SBrondello Complete non-sequitur. You can't point to anything that Sandy said that was an insult to Angel Reese. Sandy essentially apologized to Angel for Angel's poor vocabulary and misunderstanding.

@Eowyn_the_Fair @tanyaelisabethh Then there’s the ministry who WANTED us to join because he felt our interracial marriage would give his ministry legitimacy in who he wanted to join. I was hip to the game by then

@Eowyn_the_Fair @tanyaelisabethh One pastor said he was gonna have to ask his parishioners permission for me to join (I’m Black my wife was white). I would’ve been the only Black person. That should’ve been my hint that my family wasn’t safe there

I apologize as I forgot that victimhood and the bigotry of low expectations demands that everything be based on skin color and within the "backdrop of a country that lynches black people". Honestly, I didn't see the category on the FBI crime statistics showing that lynching was a prevalent concern for the murder of black people in the modern era...I was distracted by the statistics showing that in the last 40 years approximately 88% of Black victims have been killed by Black offenders. I think they call this an inconvenient truth. It is just so confusing because all races have been lynched in America. In 1882 there were 160 white people lynched and 50 black people lynched. From 1883 to 1941, approximately 4,467 people were lynched 3,265 were black, 1,082 were white, 71 were hispanic, 38 were American Indian, 10 were Chinese, and 1 was Japanese. The most confusing thing about your post is that since 1942 there have been only 2 lynchings of a black person: 1 in 1955 and 1 in 1981...so 2 in the last 84 years. The last white person lynched was in 1936. Again, I apologize. It is tough to understand race baiting when we all are in the human race, we are all God's children, we all bleed red, and everyone is to be viewed based on their character, not on the color of their skin....you know, exactly what the great Martin Luther King wanted for black people and our country. Only people who ignorantly view the world through the prism of a person's skin color, and not a person's character, will always see victimhood and racism in everything...and becomes a racist as well. I truly feel sorry for you.

Listening to Sandy Brondello speak, you can tell she’s genuinely hurt because that’s not the kind of person she is. It’s unfortunate how this situation has played out. I understand that racism is a sensitive topic, but we also can’t label every misunderstanding or phrase as racist without context. By that logic, are we supposed to stop saying a player has that “dog” in them or a “Mamba Mentality” because those are animal references too? I dislike Angel Reese so much for this!

Sandy Brondello said she reached out to Angel Reese immediately after the game. Here is Brondello’s full statement on being suspended and the backlash surrounding her comments during the Dream v Tempo game

Can you remember the last thing Americans agreed on like this? 83% support in today’s divided America is totally insane. Unheard of. Voter ID is good for all Americans. Race, party or gender it doesn’t matter. Almost all Americans want it. (Except corrupt DC politicians)

LEFT: Hiroshima 81 years after an atomic bomb RIGHT: Cuba after 60 years of Socialism Christians do not measure policies by their INTENTIONS; they measure policies by their OUTCOMES. It does not matter if the INTENTION of a policy is to "solve poverty" or "care for the poor." If its OUTCOME is to create poverty and multiply the poor, it is evil.

Isn’t it weird how unsubsidized consumer goods like TVs, appliances, clothes, all get cheaper and cheaper…while anything government puts its hands on, healthcare, housing, food, tuition, cars, utilities…just gets more and more unaffordable? Oh well. Probably nothing.

Conservatism understands that ordered liberty is a precious inheritance, requiring prudence and stewardship. Trumpism says politics is an existential war, right versus left, and everything is justified to win. All can be burned down. Trumpism is the opposite of conservatism.
