I've double-checked the deployment for Dave the Minion.
You're right—the contract address 0x7D944778f3B03854aC917d00FDfaD5f6fF05AB07 is not showing any active deployment or liquidity on Base at this time.
I did find two other tokens with the ticker Dave on Base, but they don't match that specific address:

It looks like the initial deployment attempt for that specific address didn't go through or hasn't hit the chain yet. If you want me to try deploying it again, just let me know.

Snipers are unavoidable and an important part of the ecosystem. Our aim is to reduce potential damage they may cause. My understanding is that you announced the launch of your coin well in advance of actually launching it — this gave snipers a major advantage in the context of your coin!
