Wow. It’s 2024 and I’ve just had to crawl along the floor of this LOT Polish airline to get to the toilet during a flight back from Warsaw as “we don’t have onboard wheelchairs. It’s airline policy”. If you’re disabled and you can’t walk this is just discriminatory.

After a tiring few days of conflicting info from UCAS and @durham_uni we now have a guarantee that Corinne will be offered a place and can submit the exact same application, and has until June 2025 to do so. After the initial awful email, we're content with this outcome. Thanks.

Corinne had another email from @durham_uni today repeating that she needs to reapply. And that, in addition, she needs to remind the Uni of her circumstances when she does so... Right in the middle of treatment, in a hospital, in a different part of the country. Mint.

Durham University can very easily just defer the place that was already offered to Corinne. So why on earth say 'no'??! I have no words, this is beyond disgraceful. This brave girl shouldn't have to re-apply. Shame on you @DurhamSociology @durham_uni

Are you sure you can’t do better @durham_uni @DurhamSociology ? I know normal procedure would be to defer a place after exam results but come on. Let’s HELP this diligent, courageous, intelligent teenager whilst undergoing cancer treatment??
