In Rajya Sabha today, I argued that the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill, 2026 risks grave injustice by undermining self-identity and constitutional protections. LPG shortage My wife & I decided to have/prepare one meal a day without using LPG. If every family did that, we can reduce Indian household consumption by 1/3rd. Instead of hoarding or panicking, do simple changes to your lifestyle for the national Good.

How is all of Indian society raised to be so devoid of empathy? Not a kind cell in their body for the oppressed, no sense of justice. How have generations after generations of parents succeeded in instilling oppressor mentality in each of us, the anomalies being so rare.

@spel1334607 Caste system makes us look at names and aesthetics to decide beforehand who gets praise, dignity, access, support, opportunities, platforms in this country - this leads to high mistrust and lack of empathy - instead of genuine curiosity and trust to show up for each other
