📡 The recent “GemStuffer” spam wave used RubyGems like a public dead drop: fetch data, wrap it in a gem, push it to the registry, retrieve it later with standard tooling. A very odd abuse of package infrastructure. socket.dev/blog/gemstuffer

Really enjoyed this conversation with @weppos. Some of my own early web development work involved DNS, so this one was especially interesting to me. We went nearly two hours… because I wanted to get into the weeds.
