@MitchyGallo the Isles went after Suzuki in their game and Demi got rubbed out tonight. Habs need to get tougher. they need better starts too - that's on coaching.

Here's my three takeaways from tonight's 2-1 Montreal Canadiens win over the Columbus Blue Jackets brought to you by Snap Bar Sportif in Rigaud. 1 – Bolduc gets his goal Zach Bolduc spoke yesterday about doing all the right things, scoring in practice, and not losing confidence. It can’t be easy going more than 30 games without a goal, but it didn't seem to be fazing him despite his youth. Bolduc made a terrific play on Montreal’s opening goal. He held onto the puck, sold the shot, and just as the Columbus Blue Jackets defenders bit, he slid a slick pass over to Jayden Struble, who finished it short side. A lot of players in a slump would force a shot there, but Bolduc made the smart play and it led to a goal. And then the hockey gods rewarded him with what turned out to be the game winner. 2 – Hutson is going to be a constant target Canadiens fans are going to have to get used to Lane Hutson being targeted. The Blue Jackets went after him all night, and playoff teams will do the same over a long series. Miles Wood roughed him up in front of the bench, and credit to Jake Evans and Josh Anderson for stepping in. But the reality is, teams are going to take liberties. Hutson is tough to catch during the flow of play, but between whistles and in scrums, opponents will try to make his life miserable. He’s going to have to fight through it on a nightly basis. And no, Arber Xhekaj isn’t going to change that. 3 – Dobes does it again Jakub Dobes was once again Montreal’s best player in a game that felt eerily similar to the one two nights ago against Carolina. He’s also been nearly perfect on breakaways lately, stopping Mason Marchment on a clear chance in this one. For much of the season, the Canadiens have found ways to win without getting elite goaltending every night. Now, things are starting to balance out, with their goalie becoming a major factor in the outcome. @tsn690

POILIEVRE: Will the Prime Minister flip-flop again, adopt my policy that we should have a strategic oil and mineral reserve CARNEY: There are many policies of the member opposite I will not adopt. One of them is flip-flopping, jumping around, searching for ridings every election.

Think about this answer in a different context to understand just how bad it is. The Leafs are struggling, losing when they shouldn't and players are demanding a trade. The Leafs coach is asked if he's the problem, and he says the problem is the head coach of the Habs
Scott Robertson@sarobertsonca

ROSIE: You've now lost two MPs to the Liberal Party... Is this a problem of your leadership? POILIEVRE: No, it's a problem of Mark Carney's leadership that after Canadians clearly rejected a costly Liberal majority... he is trying to manipulate his way through backroom deals.

Nenshi's response is refreshing. Opposition leaders don't need to oppose for the sake of opposing if it's something they agree with. This is in sharp contrast with Poilievre who has been screaming all day against something his voters, his party, and he himself, supports.

The new Canada-Alberta MOU is a positive step for our energy future. Meaningful investments in Pathways, clear measures to reduce emissions, and a stronger industrial carbon price give Albertans the certainty we need to move forward. /1

Ten years ago today, Canadians chose a more hopeful path. I’ll never forget that night in 2015. The energy, the optimism, and the belief that together, we could build a better future. A decade later, we’ve lifted hundreds of thousands of people out of poverty, strengthened and grown the middle class, built a $10-a-day child care system, led the fight against climate change, advanced reconciliation, and made Canada more inclusive and fair for everyone. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who was part of this journey and believed that better is always possible. 🇨🇦
