JROTC cadets took 1st place in the Black History Month Door Decorating Contest. The display featured Bayard Rustin, known for being a key strategist and mentor to MLK Jr., introducing Gandhian nonviolent resistance. Cadet Carranza used her artistic talents to create the portrait.

On February 17, 2026, Congressman Josh Harder honored C/Baktash Azizi and C/Berenice Valencia for earning congressional nominations to U.S. service academies, including the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and U.S.Naval Academy. We are so proud!!

9/11/2025, West High’s Air Force JROTC program held an annual 9/11 Remembrance and Retreat ceremony. We came together to honor the lives lost and the sacrifices made during the attacks on September 11, 2001. @HQ_AFJROTC
