I've developed something that analyzes launch monitor data. I need 5 testers. If you have/use a launch monitor that gives strike information (Mevo+, Trackman, GCquad etc) can you comment below with what you use. You will need to be able to get a shot-report, and also love data.

Couldn’t have drawn this one up worse for the Cardinals today. Waste all your bullpen options including the high leverage ones in game 2 of 17 in a row.

@jmjones If this is truly a rebuild how about making the starters go a minimum of 6 innings so we can see what they have instead of using 5-6 pitchers (or 8) every night - bullpen is already gassed.

This is a loss that could turn into a very bad snowball for the Cardinals. On day two of 17 in 17, the pitching runs the tank dry while getting pummeled, a regular leaves hurt, and they squander an offensive outburst they don't get often. They'll try to salvage one tomorrow.

@MattPauleyOnAir I have loved what the Cardinals have done so far this year but you can't keep running 5-6 pitchers out there every night - sooner or later it will catch up with you.

The #STLCards are 13-8, which is the 5th best record in the NL. It goes without saying but it’s obviously still very early. But they’ve done this: -Getting very little production from 4 spots in the order (LF, CF, SS, C). (To be fair, Masyn Winn had 3 hits yesterday and a hit in each of his last 6 games so he might be coming out of it.) -Having just two relief pitchers that they have been able to rely on all season (O’Brien & Romero) and two more who have been relied upon more lately (Soriano & Graceffo). -Having a starting rotation where 3 of the 5 have a plus 4 ERA, one had a plus 4 ERA before his last start and the guy who has a sub 3 ERA has an expected ERA of 7.42. -Having a run differential of -8 even after a weekend where they outscored the Astros by 8 runs over the 3 games. Again, it’s super early and their amazing record in 1-run games and Extra Innings is likely to even out. But Manager Oliver Marmol, his staff and the players deserve so much credit for maximizing victories in the first month of the season!

@UmpireAuditor Can we please just go to an automated strike zone?

Umpire Hunter Wendelstedt missed 22 calls in the Reds Twins game and 16 went against the Reds, including 4 blown strikeouts. No umpire this season has missed on more than 4 strikeouts in an entire game. The Reds overcame the bad calls and won a challenge in extra innings to end the game.

@Ackerman1120 Tom, I am curious about your thoughts on this. Why does it seem like Walker and Gorman will automatically be penciled in the lineup this year when they have not proven they are major league ready? Would the Cardinals consider starting them at AAA?

Save me the “passionate coaches” talk I see online. These are two of the most insufferable, out of control coaches in the entire country. The way they talk to officials and respond to adversity is a TERRIBLE example for their players.

@dgoold Walker needs to go to Memphis until he proves he can hit.

Five players optioned out today: Hence, Prieto, Torres, and catchers Bernal and Crooks. All sent to Class AAA Memphis. There are 51 remaining in #cardinals camp.

@Rinedog1 Walker and Gorman will not be on this team next year.

I hope I'm proven wrong about this and he should be given ample playing time to do so but I just don't think Jordan Walker is going to work out. I have far more hope that Baez is a long term piece than Walker. Honestly I still believe in Gorman more than Walker. #stlcards
