Everyone at Westoe is excited to share our annual Autumn Concert details for 2025. This year the theme of the concert is ‘𝓝𝓸𝓻𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓷 𝓛𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓼’ and it will be once again compered by the inimitable @rayspencermbe

The band may be on our well-deserved summer break but we’ll be back before you know it, at one of our favourite concert venues. This will be the final concert in the Brass Bands at the Amphitheatre series which is part of the summer long South Tyneside Festival.

VE Day this year has not only been a tribute to those who fought for the freedom we all enjoy today, but also a powerful reminder of the resilience and unity that has defined our country ever since.

It was an honour tonight to take part in the South Tyneside commemorations for the 80th anniversary of VE Day which included the lighting of the beacon and a unique moment in time, with a massed singing of the great British Hymn ‘I Vow To Thee My Country.’

Wishing all of our friends, families and supporters a very Happy New Year.

Was that a year ago tonight! Time flies when you are having fun 😀

There are plenty of opportunities to see and hear the band across the region throughout December as we take part in festive events from South Shields to Blyth via Newcastle and Sunderland.

We’re easing ourselves in this year with a relatively quiet start to the month before it gets busy.

The 1st of December is upon us once again and with it, the start of the busiest month in the brass banding calendar. We’d like to extend our best wishes to our brass band friends who will all be incredibly busy this month.
