Well, assuming these national estimates are accurate, which they typically are not.

How you know the race and IQ people are just bigots: if you take IQ seriously, your main cause should be getting everyone on earth with a 110 IQ or higher into your country. This would be the only logical position one can hold. But that's not what these people support!

@crentist_dds @BKJester @atlanticesque Okay you can obviously get a full view of a few of the skyscrapers when walking or a good portion of the skyline from any park but this is not the same thing as seeing the entire skyline from far. In my opinion the super tall new stuff only looks good from far like sheep’s meadow

I've said it before and I'll say it again: No European City has a skyline. London's skyline is competitive with mid tier American cities at best and it is the peak on that continent. The skyscraper is an American art form and it only reaches its truest heights here.

@BKJester @atlanticesque If you live in Manhattan you barely see it. I think that’s what the original poster is saying, it’s an invisible perk 90% of the time. These glass cubes look cool from far but ground level they’re mostly nondescript garbage. Old architecture can be appreciated from the ground.

American cities are largely ugly. Manhattan is the only city that can compete with London, Paris, Rome, Lisbon, or Madrid. LA has horrendous traffic and zero walkability, plus most of the women there are hardly anything to write home about anymore. Notable exceptions are San Diego but only parts of it are walkable, same for Miami (although Miami has the best looking Latinas on the planet). DC, SF, and Boston have even fewer desirable districts per total land mass. You just can’t beat a 2 hour flight to the south of France or the Alps from London.

Your attitude is right but American cities should look distinctly American, not European. We need classical elegance mixed in with modern optimism, wrapped around by Graden North America.

@lastholder36889 @impostersyndrum @ArtemisConsort I do think we will eventually find that strict homosexuality is a product of chemical or biological mishaps in the womb, but I think there’s enough anthropological evidence to suggest that opportunistic or cultural homosexual behavior is natural.

@impostersyndrum @ArtemisConsort This is not a good counter argument because progressives do not claim that homosexuality exists in nature for the purpose of saying it is morally permissible, but rather to counter the claim that it is not natural, IE occurring in nature. It’s a negatory claim not a positive one.

@wotancore This is one of the few cases I’ve seen where the traditionalist rendering looks so much worse than the modernist one. Usually it’s a glass cube of some sort, whereas this is actually cohesive with the existing structure. The alternative one is not.
