The most frustrating thing getting people to understand in the dynamics of power is beyond on who you are willing to date or how you treat someone from another group. Systemic is hidden behavior in policy, resources, & perception that allow Group A to have power over Group B.

Race, Politics, and Spouses all play a role in how many measure a person's loyalty and ability to garner a group's support that is tied their belief of "where do their loyalties lie". Spouses may not be running, but they can absolutely alter/shape feelings towards a candidate.

VP presidential candidate Vance saw a very visceral response when MAGA realized his wife was Usha. Attacks came the moment she walked on stage - a shock too many. For a period after the convention there was talk of replacing him because of it.

That is what I think is being left out of the analysis. The assumption that all capital is economic or political has been one of the largest blind spots in understanding Trump’s appeal.

Populism in Trump’s case has always been the desire for European Americans to keep control of the social capital of the country which many feel is becoming impoverished.

Something is coming after capitalism, this is inevitable because human systems evolve. However, what evidence based on previous evolution of economic systems does anyone have that it will be better?

I have a thing now where if a stranger shows me kindness or I witness someone being kind I write them a note and give it to them. I want people to know it is appreciated to feel and see their impact on the world. Even if it means I have to go and find them later.
