Really like what St Kilda has done to half time. Felt Ross Lyon let them down tactically in a number of areas the first two weeks. But this is better. Max King can’t come back quick enough.

@SaintsNationAU Had some good moments, but his ability, or lack thereof, to keep his body in line with the footy when required, is slightly concerning.

For anyone thinking this is targeting Hill… I always highlight when he plays well. This from August last year after a run of bad matches. Please - we have to be able to speak without fear or favour, in good times and in bad.

I’ve been critical of Hill’s kicking - but it is technical as much as anything. Here’s the key turnover that costs us. This technique (lean back, casual ball drop, limited back lift, low speed follow through, horizontal toe) is used for “sliders” (soft kicks that float gently).

@lethalfooty Undroppable, for your reasons above. But I hated him sooking it up at Carroll and then butchering the footy after. I love what Hilly brings as a leader - but he thinks he’s a silky smooth distributor by foot. It’s that false belief that leads to poor kicks in high risk moments.

The bad: Brad Hill had a Riley Bonner game. Big numbers, but so many match-altering turnovers. Killed us. Sharman. Out of form. Hands terrible. Caminiti. Ripped apart by JVR. Looked lost. Phillipou. Injured (again 😳) Carroll & Keeler lack AFL-level competitive intensity.

@brett_ernst @archerroberts9 No doubt there were positives. But the same issues (i50 entries) that have haunted us for past 5-6 years, continue happen. Fix that, we can finish top 4. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to. Agree?

@wheeeels03 @archerroberts9 Try harder, stop being miserable. There were positives last week and lessons to be learnt, it’s a young side with a lot of changes coming other, connectivity takes time to build. Many teams start slowly into the season.
