Im going to stick up for Crimson Desert a little here. We all asked to see “console footage.” We were shown that by Digital Foundry today for PS5 Pro. Now there are people saying “no no we meant we want to see base console footage.” Now, I have not seen that asked for lately in other games when the screen says “captured on PS5 pro.” Haven’t seen “no no show me ps5 base.” So, if we want that to be the norm of seeing every console shown, then we should ask for that every time and not just for @CrimsonDesert_ . We should not nitpick depending on the game or company here. I do think they should have shown things earlier, but I like consistency.

Hot take: gameplay > story by a mile. A great story can’t save boring gameplay, but great gameplay can carry a weak story any day. That’s why I don’t watch movies at all and just play games… and why I’m still day-one hyped for Crimson Desert even if the story ends up mid.

Personally, I would love it if Renne was the protagonist of the final arc of the Trails series. As a former member of Ouroborus she has a special place in Zemuria, and would really allow you to get into the underbelly of the organization.
Also, there are too many characters already - it would be really nice if the final arc spent time just really developing and finalizing the character arcs of everybody that we've already met. Having Renne be the protagonist would allow you to do that.
And with her unique position, she could take on quests from both the bracer guilds as well as the society - I think that it would be a really cool way to wrap it all up

@dr_ryan yeah i love his parts so much. the grace stuff interrupts that fun too much on subsequent playthroughs. loved it first time around though. hoping for anything but Grace DLC.

Loved Resident Evil Requiem from beginning to end but its not very replayable. The cracks really show when you try. Don’t need to see Grace ever again. Later decisions she made were really badly written and it just felt like it was to serve the purpose of controlling Leon again.

It is time! It's been ages since a new game has come along and completely upset every expectation I had. Crimson Desert is that game. As someone that hadn't kept up with it, holy moly, the results are genuinely insane and this is the first complete look at the console version!
