We have kidnappers and bandit informants among us here, even with some disguising as concerned citizens. Be more careful on this space and offline.

A 2014 Unicef report puts the Almajiri population at 9.5m children, 72% of out of school children in Nigeria. When you send kids out of their homes to fend for themselves 400km away, what do you think they'll become? Tech gurus? Scientists?

Ojude Oba must get bigger every year. Na my own be that. The yearly festival of tears and sorrow it brings from those that hate good things must also not end.

There is no difference between the low IQ talks about Lagos not joining Amotekun and the ones that blame Lagos state for their ports not functioning as the Apapa and Tin Can ports.

One thing Nigerians struggle with when discussing the Biafran War is accepting that every side tells history in a way that favors them, especially igbo's. Yes, Igbo people suffered horrific massacres before and during the war. That is historical fact. But pretending the Biafran side was completely innocent is also dishonest. War changes people. Armies commit abuses. Civilians suffer. There were documented cases of Biafran forces intimidating, detaining, attacking, or killing people seen as enemies, collaborators, or federal loyalists. Some minority groups in the East also accused Biafran troops of oppression during the conflict. Even some Yoruba and Northern civilians trapped in Biafran territory experienced harassment and violence. None of this cancels out the suffering of Biafrans. None of it justifies the massacres of Igbo civilians either. It simply means history is rarely black and white. Every ethnic group remembers its own pain loudly and remembers the pain it caused others quietly.
