They did they Halo Infinite thing of making sprint so slow that it doesn't actually do anything Which is fine ig lol. Not so subtle admittance of defeat

The amount of times Mark IV has been retconned to have “experimental shields” drives me insane when Mark V is supposed to be a huge leap forward by having them at all. Could they not have done the H3 ODST stamina system?? That would have worked perfectly fine and been cool???

Some of you need to learn something about what "canon" actually is, and how it works. If something is created that breaks and overwrites previously established canon, that is not a justification for it to be the new canon. Especially when that break is created by people other than the original creators. When canon breaks like this happen, like has been happening with Halo since 343 took over, they are often used to justify further canon breaks. See Silent Storm. Everything becomes circular. The prior break is used to justify further breaks. Canon continues to become fractured, retconned, and nonsensical. Fans stop caring about it and even begin to consider new additions bad fanfiction, because that's what they have become. And if the stewards of the canon do not care enough about the canon to respect established lore and continuity, then why should fans or anyone else care about THEIR continuity breaking additions? This is, ultimately, the divide between Halo fans. Those that recognize the canon is broken and is only getting more broken and therefore don't accept things past Bungie as canon. And those that simply do not care and just want more Halo aesthetic regardless of quality. We have also seen this happen with Star Wars. It will keep happening so long as people that fundamentally do not respect the original works are allowed to steward them.

#HaloCampaignEvolved has some forced post-processing effects, such as film grain, that can't be disabled, even when using the Low Post-Processing quality setting. If these effects bother you, here's how to get rid of them and make the image look much cleaner: 1-Press Windows + R, type %localappdata%, and click OK. 2-Navigate to: Meteorite\Saved\Config\Windows 3-Create a new text file named Engine, then change its extension from .txt to .ini. 4-Open the file and add the following lines: [SystemSettings] r.FilmGrain=0 r.Tonemapper.GrainQuantization=0 r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0 Don't forget to save. 6-Right click Engine.ini, go to Properties, and enable Read-only to prevent the game from deleting the file.

343/HS could've just made the C709 smaller like Bungie did in Halo 2. Now we have a revised design that looks like the Baselard, and less consistent with any previous iterations of the Longsword? It's a nitpick, but why the new revisionist design logic isn't compelling to me.
