@cwebbonline @EarlOfEnough I don’t see any discussion of lie, propaganda, Russian and other interference to peel off Democratic voters, such as Muslims via Gaza protests, immigrant vilification etc. Dems have better policies for most, but people bought GOP lies.

REAL TALK – The conversations we must have… A lot of folks aren’t going to want to hear this, but they need to hear this — so take a few minutes to watch this segment. HARD TRUTH: A Democratic ticket hasn’t won a majority of white voters since 1964, yet the party will probably throw everything they’ve got into trying to win them over, yet again, instead of lifting up the voice of Black women, defending the importance of the Black male vote, and engaging with Latino voters — other than in the last two weeks before Election Day when they panic. That’s part of the problem. LEADERSHIP AND ELECTEDS SET US UP FOR DEFEAT: Those who were part of the coalition that helped take down our sitting Democratic president just three months before the general election share in the responsibility for our loss at the top of the ticket. They should not think they can lead us back to success — and we shouldn’t follow their lead. I’m reevaluating where my support is grounded. Maybe you should too. We need strategic change in order to win again! LAST THING: Black women, and Black men right behind them, are the backbone of the Democratic Party. The party is in real danger of losing us in the next fight. Some would say they already have. How the party handles the aftermath will be telling. Rebuilding without brick and mortar will not lead to success.

Dems need to pressure Justices Kagan and Sotomayor to retire immediately and push through two, younger appointees in the lame-duck while we still have control of both the Senate & Presidency. Allowing them to stay is a risk to entrench an even further conservative court.

@JoyceWhiteVance Alaska posts numbers as they're counted, but elections aren't final until about two weeks after election day when the overseas ballots deadline is met. Some close races don't know the winner until then. But in the country's first elections some people didn't know for months.

I wrote this piece in 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, for Alabama voters who weren't used to slow counts of mail-in absentee ballots. But it rings true to me, again, tonight. Slow counts don't mean fraud, they mean every vote is being counted. al.com/opinion/2020/0…
