Ai existence made me way less picky to human made art. Now I like almost everything I see when I know that it’s created by a real person who actually tried. It became way more precious and respectful. Please doodle, sketch, paint, sculpt. You all are incredible

@jasminericegirl That last paragraph is disgusting. Kids should taught their creativity is enough as it is, not needing to be processed through the lens of some fucking theiving computer blender.

I grew up singing. I sang everywhere I went, I wrote songs in my diary, I told teachers that I wanted to be a singer & songwriter when I grew up. But wanting to be a musician in 2006 required resources that a low-income family didn't have. My parents couldn't afford to get me any instruments. They couldn't pay for music lessons. They couldn't get me into studios. A dream I had became just a memory, until now. I am beyond proud and honored to get to work at a company that is enabling music creation for everyone. For the 13 year old kid in their bedroom who dreams of being a musician, you can be one. For all of the professional artists, you can do more of what you love. I really wish Suno existed 20 years ago when I was a kid in elementary school, showing strangers songs I wrote with no way to produce them. But I'm really, really happy that it exists today, for all of the other kids who might need it. We are still just getting started :)

I find what's being unsaid here disturbing: the reason removing em-dashes from ChatGPT responses is a "win" that is worthy of an announcement is that em-dashes are primarily used to sniff out if a published work was written by ChatGPT. What purpose does this serve except to more covertly pass off AI writing as human writing? If people didn't care that an article etc was AI generated, why would this sort of thing be worthy of a dedicated announcement? An argument I've seen is that writers who frequently use em-dashes in their work are wrongly being accused of using ChatGPT, and this is a step toward mitigating that. But this is a smokescreen that functions on the assumption that people are only upset when they can see the cracks and are otherwise indifferent to AI writing if they can't tell the difference. The truth of this sneakily insidious announcement is that it is a declaration not only that ChatGPT's designers are aware that people do not want to read things written by AI, but also that ChatGPT functions better as a product when it deceptively hides its fingerprints. Were AI designers fine with laws or industry standards requiring disclosure around the use of AI, this seemingly innocuous fix wouldn't have even crossed Mr. Altman's mind to announce. In fact, if disclosure was a standard, writers would not be accused of using AI in the first place; the simple omission of "written using AI" from their work would be enough.

Without spoilers, what video games do you think have the best narrative? Doesn't matter the genre, just want a good story. Looking for new games to play.

"Why did you make his head that way?" I like to approach my redesigns less from the perspective of emulating what's been done before, and more from my interpretation of how the design sells the character. Grimlock is a king, so I gave him a crown.

Phenomena like this make sense once you go from assuming the motive is saying true things, to assuming the motive is just saying whatever seems most hurtful at the moment

I tried playing devil's advocate in imagining non-racist reasons for them to do this but I'm coming up empty. The only conclusion left is that there is no non-racist explanation, they are racists, and blatantly so.
