I’m so glad I’m able to enjoy music from literally all genres. Like there isn’t a single genre I don’t listen to or wouldn’t try. Music is such a beautiful experience all around.

I have a personal grudge against poverty because of how humiliating and dehumanizing it is—because of how it keeps lowering the quality of your life, trapping you in an unending cycle of low-quality problems. Poverty debases you, it makes you revert to the basest instincts you can muster just to get one penny. You are poor, so you cannot afford to gift your friends or loved ones or honor their events, and they automatically assume you are a bad friend. You can’t afford proper healthcare. You can’t even buy new clothes. Heck, you can’t afford food consistently. Poverty makes you unproductive. People start giving you advice with the assumption that you have stopped using your brain. They tell you to learn a skill, start a business, do this and do that, while all you are thinking about is where your next meal will come from. They forget that it costs money to do any of the things they are advising you to pursue. Another reason I detest poverty so much is how it makes you tolerate disrespect from certain people, probably because you are at their mercy or your next meal is coming from them. It leaves you with no luxury of options. You can’t walk away from toxic friendships, workplaces, relationships, or deals because of what you are benefiting, and if you leave, you are fvcked. Poverty makes you desperate. You can’t tell some people the truth because you depend on them. You walk on eggshells. Worse, it affects your self-esteem.
