@ChrisNoble49255 @Ausbobsmit You can arrive at 75% by adding the taxes. To begin with you have income tax. Top marginal rate of 47%. Now you buy something and another 10% is added via GST. More tax on alcohol, cigarettes and petrol then you can add further amounts around 30%.
Investments are taxed again too.

@GrahamY @OMGTheMess If you’ve ever been to Singapore you can see the gulf between the haves and the have nots. The culture is also kids living with their parents until well into their 20s and 30s… in apartments on the 35th floor. Try buying a car too… it’s outrageously expensive.
