Never quit trading
It took me 3 years of work and dedication to become profitable
Since then I have made multiple 6 figures from trading and have a skill that will pay me for the rest of my life
Imagine if I had quit during those 3 years
I would’ve walked away with 0 and would probably be working a job that I hate
All it takes is a few years of effort and then you can be free for life
The grind is worth it - don’t give up

I’ll never forget it, 2 years ago today I met my godmother’s boyfriend who is a hedge fund manager.
I was 3 months into trading and was at the pinnacle of excitement and ambition for trading.
I was certain that this is what I wanted to do for my career and I couldn’t wait to leave my 9-5.
But as soon as I told him I traded futures he laughed in my face.
He said you’re gonna lose all your money. Do you even understand the instrument you’re trading?
I swear I did not even understand what a futures contract was I said I was learning from a guy on YouTube (ICT) 😭
I started spewing out how legit it was and what smart money concepts were - imbalances, order blocks, FVGs, etc.
And he’s like I don’t know anything you’re saying but do know what imbalances are.
So I started talking about them and he cut me right off saying nope that’s not what imbalances are 😭
He was like do you realize we get our data milliseconds before you? Do you realize we have access to all those retail brokerages data and use that information to our advantage? That the game is rigged and you cannot possibly win?
He was like how much is a single contract of E-mini worth?
I literally didn’t know.
$250,000. (Around $5000 at the time x50).
And you said you’re trading multiple contracts. So you’re holding possibly a million dollars of futures contracts on a given trade. Are you serious?
I tried explaining that I always use a stop loss and always risk a fixed dollar amount as a small % of my total balance. But he was done with the conversation at that point 🤣
He ended it with you have a good job. Stick with that. If you want to get into this industry expect to work much more than a “9-5”. This ain’t a 40 hour a week industry.
Now every year I see him for a family gathering and he just asks me how my 9-5 job is 😭😭

bias and signals are not the same.
nowadays, people don’t want bias…. they want signals. they want you to tell them where to enter, where to exit…. in short, they want you to be their employee.
you get into trading to have no boss…. to be your own boss…. to make your own decisions.
trading is a business where you are responsible…. not second parties or third parties.
that’s why 98% never make it. because 98% are only looking for someone to blame for their failures.
your mentor, your guru, or your favorite content creator is not responsible.
the day you truly understand that, you’ll be one step closer to the 2% that actually make it.
