Exactly 10 months into starting this brand we just crossed 8 figures Could have been more, could have been faster but inventory and cashflow can be difficult while bootstrapping and funding everything from profit as you go. Literally started with a PO of 250pcs and $100 a day ad budget The next $10m will come much, much faster now Will do an article on biggest learnings I had along the way to get me get here with zero debt, 100% ownership zero employees and around 30% EBITDA if there is enough interest

My mentor uses a learning that fundamentally changed his entire life: "Urgency is only imagined." When he first told me about it, I didn't really get it. Because I draw a lot of energy from pressure and short deadlines. Why do something by end of week when I can do it by end of day? Why do less when I can achieve more? The problem is that urgency and such a "higher, faster, further mindset" leads to short-term thinking. Which leads to long-term problems. And these slow you down extremely, sooner or later. Changing my time horizon from days and months to years and decades was an absolute game changer in every respect. And I believe it's an unfair advantage in the long-term. It's about winning the war, not just the battle. The championship, not just the game. Nevertheless, I push hard short-term. Just not for some artificial short-term finish line. Micro speed. Macro patience.

UNILEVER TO ACQUIRE GRUNS FOR UNDISCLOSED SUM IN HUGE VMS SPLASH Grüns, one of the best stories in CPG of the last decade, has been punctuated with a massive deal to Unilever. The VMS M&A wave is in the early innings! Financial terms weren't disclosed, but given Gruns' disclosed revenue, growth rate, and Unilever's annual stated M&A budget - it was definitely a big one. The Numbers  - Founded: August 2023 by Chad Janis (confirmed a chad)  - $100M ARR: May 2025 (month 21)  - $300M ARR: August 2025 (month 24)  - Last valuation: $500M (April 2025 funding round led by Headline)  - Profitable within 14 months of launch Price undisclosed, but the $500M valuation set the floor 12 months ago. With $300M+ ARR at the time of deal announcement, rough benchmarks: - Huel acquired by Danone for ~3.4x revenue - 2026 - Liquid I.V. / Unilever - ~2.6x revenue - 2020  - Dr. Squatch / Unilever ~3x revenue - 2025 - poppi // PepsiCo ~3x revenue - 2025 Unilever has been making an all in effort into personal care and wellness, with brands like Liquid I.V. & Nutrafol set to pass $1B in sales, UL is putting together a formidable wellness portfolio. Plus, they spent $1.5B on Dr. Squatch last year. Early investors include Sugar Capital, Vanterra Capital, and more.
