BREAKING: West Wing’s Bradley Whitford says it’s “fucking ridiculous” film and TV writers aren’t paid more as executives rack in millions. “Last year, eight major Hollywood studio CEOS made over $773,000,000 in annual salary. Meanwhile, many of the workers who write their shows can’t afford rent,” said a graphic he posted. Ari Emanuel, CEO of Endeavor Studios made $308 million dollars. The two CEOs of Netflix each made $40 million and $38 million respectively. “That’s why the Writers Guild of America is ready to strike,” the graphic says. Thank you Bradley Whitford for speaking out! Studios must remember there is no industry without writers and they deserve to be able to make a living. When a union is organized into a cohesive voice, they can make life better for everyone. Even if you are not a union member, it helps to support those who are! SOLIDARITY! 💙
